  • There seems to be a polite acceptance, with no-one quite wanting to point out the mealy mouthed deception - and it's quite obvious why.

What did your HPC chums make of it?

The CC bears are fairly muted as most of them have bought now and are in the same camp as Geneer i.e buying before a HPC has happened.

Geneer definitely won't have the balls to announce on HPC that he has bought in 2009 AND he thinks the house price crash has happenedm (as over there that makes him a bull or EA)

In fairness to www.hpc over the years there has been hundreds of long term bears who have suddenly capitulated and announced they are conceding defeat and buying, however there has not been any so lame to announce it 2 years after they did it.:)

Market prices stayed irrationally high longer than Geneer could stand renting and hence he crumbled in 2009.

    Kind Regards

That's one of them. What about the rest?

Seriously, man, get a grip. I've not even been on here in the last week, so why fantasise these reactions on my behalf?

    My apologies rob.

Theres been such a howl of rage and denial in the last few days that I didn't notice you were late to the party.

Of course your here now, and thats the main thing.
    Thanks for coming.

For what it's worth, I have no problems accepting that what you say is true and that you bought 2 years ago. In fact, it nicely explains the lack of substance to many of the arguments that you have proposed.

I do find the amount of time and emotional commitment that you seem to have put into this 'joke' of yours to be somewhat bizarre and pathetic, to be honest.

:rotfl: Yep. Clearly you're taking the news very well indeed.

Hi Geneer, sorry to mess you about. You know that Chopper I wanted from the '70's? Slight change of plan - can you get a Grifter instead - the gear shift is safer.

Have you got a roof rack on your time machine?

Well I've been called out - I genuinely thought you'd been back in time and bought a house - feel a bit daft now.

Oh no. You mean don't actually believe that I traveled back in time and planted clues and avatars confirming the truth of my house purchase - feel a bit daft now.

Of course it does rather beg the question of why you keep making the same "joke" when you are well aware that I have indeed confirmed the truth.
Could just be a big belly full of sour grapes could it?

From what I see this is what you are saying really happened. You've spent years waiting for a crash which in your VI area didn't happen. Eventually, after realising the crash wasn't going to happen you bought a house. You then kept quiet about it to make sure that prices didn't crash and make you look an even bigger fool.

If prices had fallen through the floor in 2010 & 2011 you would have declared victory over your internet enemies and kept quiet about the purchase that's for sure.

I think being thought of as a time travelling house buyer is less tragic than the reality of your situation.

Well I for one would like to thank you. This episode has provided a welcome diversion form the daily doom and gloom and cheered me up no end. Seriously though; it's a stark reminder of the dangers of the internet.

What are you having for your lunch yesterday? I hope it's better than what you had tomorrow.

Ah yes. The penny finally the penny drops for another.

We've had denial, anger, we're now clearly in the bargaining stage.

    Text book.
  • Geneer can you post a link to a www.hpc thread where you tell them your big news, that you have bought (in 2009) AND you think the house price crash has happened:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:........but you still remain a bear at heart...........

I bet you don't have the balls to tell them;)

    Kind Regards

Erm, thats one person, and lets face it, he'd applaud you if you threw excrement at him while screaching like a monkey.

Well one person is all it takes.
A mean Pimperne1s going to town because 1 guy, resident conspiracy theorist MSparks, has spat the dummy.
Don't see you pulling pimperne1 up on it? :rotfl:

You didn't answer my question Heathcote123.
Do you now confirm that you accept the reality of my situation? :)

I'm going to find it extremely amuzing in the coming months.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Not as "amuzing" as I've found it in the past year or so.

I'm going to find it extremely amuzing in the coming months.

How do you hold a position proclaiming you believe property still has a long way to crash whilst also being a relatively new owner.

Good job he has someone with brains to influence his decisions, whilst he releases his pent up frustrations in here.

I've just checked the handbook lite, and it appears that it is actually possible to be bearish on property and be a homeowner.
    Who would have thunk it.

You are of course stretching the truth somewhat in what my "position" is.

The problem with you non-bulls is that you mistake my relentlessly deconstruction and exposing the flaws in your spurious arguments with a couple of nutter who keep claiming house prices will fall 70% by next thursday.

Nah. Its a bit to obvious to bother with a psychiatrist.

    Denial & Anger Phase:-

Since renoman posted a picture of the tardis I keep getting the theme tune to Dr. Who whenever I see a Geneer post. I have a vision of Mr. & Mrs. Geneer popping in the tardis to go househunting in 2009.

Then, once the penny drops, Acceptance and Bargaining Phase:-

Just pointing out that it's a really weird way that you've been spending your time and seeking fulfilment. In fact, it's probably one of the more tragic things I've seen on the internet.
