Had another light bulb moment yersterday.
I bought a 12.5kg bag of potatoes, £2, without to much though of how to get it home. I live a good mile from the shop so desided to put it under the arm and get going. The bag got heavier and heavier and then it struck me. I need to lose equivalent to a bag of potatoes in weight to get back to my ideal weight.
Think I just got my motivation back.0 -
I thought I'd join in as I'm trying really hard t lose a bit!!
A good tip I've found is to buy the pound-shop 2 for a quid weight-watchers chicken noodle soup which is only 50 calories and take it to work in a flask. Then lunch is only a few calories leaving more for the evening meal.
Also when I get the evening munchies I make a milkshake up ( I got a load cheap from approved food the Aussie one or I use slim-fast).
I'm also doing the 5/7 diet which has been in the papers - which is eat well 5 days then take it a bit easier at the weekend. Apparently the calories ork out less over the week and you don't give up so easily as you look forward to Saturday.
I've lost 4lbs so far!!!
Well done all!0 -
Monthly weigh-in report
1 April - total loss since 1 January now 6 lbs (when I'd hoped for 13 lb) - early February to late March was a plateau.0 -
Hi everyone, sorry I've not posted for a while, but I have been plodding away and my total loss since January is 18lbs, so I am on target of 5lbs a month.
I have increased my exercise by doing more walking, and going to an Aquacise class, hate wearing a swimming cossie but hopefully it will be worth the end result!!
I really like the chocolate philadelphia, and the little pots are only 2 WW pro points!
Well done everyone, some great weight losses

i seem to have a few good weeks, and then despite being good, i either stay the same, or loose or gain a half!! ahh well!!!
im just worried that if i gained when i was good, what will happen this week when i have a nite out and an easter egg with my name on it:eek:0 -
Lost another 1lb this week, and to be fair, again I had a shocking week, so I am well pleased.
I have turned it around and so far I have been a good girl this week, so hoping that any bad I may have done last week, I will counteract this week, so hoping not to gain next weigh in.
Still haven't tried the chocolate phili but have tried those star baked walkers, quite tasty, although the sweet chilli flavour tastes more like tomato ketchup flavour.Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs
30lb lost of 30lb by June 2012 :j:j:j (80lb overall goal)0 -
