Damp down as it's a 'hot spot' that will catch on fire if you do not 'damp down'

S&S Swish and Swipe (quick rub down with a cloth and swish with water, usually done in bathroom and kitchen)
    TD tumble drier
DW dishwasher (or me if it's my house)
    SC slow cooker
    BM breadmaker
    YM yoghurt maker

HTH - Hope That Helps :D
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Morning everyone.

Off to a good start. Me and baby dressed. kitchen sides wiped as one of the cats was searching the kitchen for the chicken he could smell (stock in slow cooker) so left muddy prints on every surface. Bottles made. Last nights washing up away. upstairs windows wiped of condensation, now open to air. Living room window sill also wiped. Quick trawl of upstairs - all clothes now in linen baskets, and any rubbish picked up/binned. Letter to post alreaddy done by DH. Loo already has bleach in.:T

my special job today is to strain the stock, then freeze. Also, i must remember that my spice rack is very dusty. I've obviously missed that out, so i'd best do that today. ;)

I've found the best way to fly with a baby is do what you can, when you can and you feel up to it. New mums need plenty of rest as you are on call. My baby is now nearly 16 weeks old, and the flying is now getting much easier as he can play happily for a little while, or he can be sat in the door bouncer or sometimes baby swing and be happy. ;)

Tracey04 - i'll try to help you. A pile of clutter that keeps appearing is a hot spot (eg. paper on my coffee table) so if i'm damping down, i am dealing with it today, to stop it becoming a raging fire. ;) Abbreviations we commonly use on the OS (old style) board are: BM - breadmaker, SC-slow cooker, DW - dishwasher, TD - tumble dryer. Then others like DH - dear husband, DS -dear son etc, are for family members.

Welcome all you new people. It will get easier after this week if you just follow what moggins tells you. If you don't get it all done, don't stress, just do what you can and then try to get further on when it comes around again next week. E.g. tiles may take 30mins today, but only 10 next, so you can spend the extra 20 mins doing something else. Good luck.

Why do I go OTT every time, I start on the benches, then decided to empty all the cupboards, and now I have emptied the lot onto the benches and wiped all the cupboards out (waiting for them to dry) making 10 times the mess I started with! You'd think I liked cleaning, I must be insane!

:o maybe it's because I can now reach the top ones without getting the big ladders out, bought myself an Ikea potty stool yesterday :o

BM on, will try not to set it on fire today :o but now I can reach cupboard better with my little stool I can put the flour away without dropping it, hopefully!

Well I've spent 30 mins sorting out the 1 remaining worktop in the kitchen - major hotspot - during which time the glazier came so that job's now done.

Hoping it won't take long now to do the rest of the worktops and the cupboard doors.
