Oh my pink butterfly, how awful, been there with my DS1 some years ago now when he was a baby, I know I didn't sleep because of worry as I was staying with him. Give yourself a break hunny, the house can wait, you just focus your mind on the little one getting well and keeping your energy up. Do whatever you need, small drink etc to get yourself a good nights sleep.

Moggins is right, if anyone moans, delegate! Hope your little one is better and back home soon :)
One day I might be more organised...........

  • aww Pink ((((((hugs)))))))))). I remember my son was like that at only a baby and you get really worried cos they seem so sick and helpless but they are hardy wee things I'm sure he will be fine and you will feel beter for a rest.

Woohoo for tomorrow being living room. I did it all today and washed windows too. Have rediscovered washing windows and buffing them with newspaper. What a shine!! Much less work than a spray tbh. Managed to clear up hall and clean all the bits and pieces. S&S bathroom and kitchen. DW emptied and reloaded. Took DD to an appointment this morning. Made packed lunches. WM 1 LOAD. Washed bedroom, kitchen and bathroom windows also. Just kids rooms to go. DD has been doing hers for a couple of nights now and really beginning to look good. DS is just a tinker lol. I am going to start with a boogie in his room and take it from there. Hope you are all well xx

Pink_butterfly - big hugs to you, it's horrid when children are ill.

I've done a quick job on the dining room today. It's tidy, it's clean but it needs a bit of extra finishing off tomorrow. The good news is we spent the afternoon at the hospital and my son doesn't need operations after all. He's got a weekness in the muscles in this thumb which they now reckon he's had since birth. He's made up as the consultant said his thumbs need building up and things like meccano and playstation help with that. I'm not so impressed with the second option, lol, my children do have one but they're very limited as to how long I let them go on it. Tonight DS said, I don't mind if you don't want me to play on the playstation but you're not making my thumbs any better! I had to hug him. I'm off to surf for cheap meccano as I prefer that option and he doesn't have any!

Pink-butterfly, I used to be a nurse and one of the most important things we used to tell the rellies - whether parents or children or spouses - was that it is their ABSOLUTE DUTY to take care of themselves so they can really support the person who is ill. That means enough sleep, enough food and drink, getting fresh air, getting support from others, etc etc etc.
You have done heroic stuff for your little one over the last few days. Now go and do whatever night-time winding down routines will help you get some proper sleep so you can get up tomorrow and be a heroic mum all over again. It is part of being a loving parent, not taking a break from it.
Take these hugs and retire to quarters quick-sharp.:grouphug:
