Moggins, would you be able to put basic info such as the definitions of 27 Fling Boogie and Dailies and also abbreviations (DD, SIL etc) into the first post each week? It would be even better to have a clearly marked link to another post to save the MSE server from having to store dozens of copies of the same text.

Many people ask exactly the same questions and get the same answers, so providing a glossary would help to save a bit of traffic on the boards, and get the newbies flying even more quickly. You can always cut and paste from the previous week, so it wouldn't be too much extra work.

Tape mark use blutak or nail polish remover or WD40.. whichever you ahev to hand.. bit of a soaking and it should come off no problem!

Re the plants. First try removing the top 3-4 inches of soil and adding new stuff.. this gets rid of spores and the fungus should stop. Failing that some athletes foot spray is meant to work.. fungus isn't it?! lol .. repotting with new soil should work too. It is caused by overwatering and too warm conditions providing optimum comditions for the fungal growth.

    My list:
[STRIKE]Clear back log of washing[/STRIKE]-one lot done, have decided that I'll do one lot a day after all
    Make up spare bed
    [STRIKE]Freeze some meat[/STRIKE]
Cook up mince and bulk out with beanfeast [ already in cupboard] and freeze
Put step daughter’s doll on e-bay
[STRIKE]Sort out my item on freecycle[/STRIKE]-being collected this afternoon-has been collected
[STRIKE]Daily straighten up[/STRIKE]done but will need doing again later

    Moggin’s list for Tuesday:

    Entrance, hallway
[STRIKE]1. clear away any cobwebs, dust and wipe down front door
    2. Clean any dirty marks off walls, clean light switch.-included door frames, skiring boards
    3. Dust any furniture in hallway[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]4. Hoover floor and wash
    5. Straighten and sort coats and outdoor shoes.
    6. Clean telephone[/STRIKE]

    Dining room
[STRIKE]1. Clean cobwebs away, dust windowsills[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]2. Clean window[/STRIKE]
    3. Dust furniture
    [STRIKE]4. Clean table[/STRIKE]
    5. Clean skirting boards
    6. Water any plants
[STRIKE]7. Add any finishing touches to table, (tablecloth, flowers etc)[/STRIKE]
    8. Hoover or sweep floor.

Then if I can get that lot done:

Have a go at sorting out my stock of craft materialsunlikely looking at what I still need to do
    Family History researchalso unlikely

Hope you don't mind me keep on putting this up ...just its really helping to get it all done...not sure I can finish dining room as it also needs a really good declutter round the two pcs and book shelves
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

I have just "blessed" the house from top to bottom in 30 minutes excluding bathroom and kitchen (except that I hoovered them):j:j Now thats what I call progress :D:D Vast improvement on 6 hours for the lot :D:A

Off for the school run, then I'll sort out the evening meal, lunches, uniform and juggle the washing again so I might be able to get another load washed and drying before bed tonight ;)

What do you guys use to 'shine' your sinks? I mean i clean mine every time i wash up but it never really 'shines' you just see lots of water marks! lol

Also what is the best thing for cleaning toilets? I have just moved into a new place and it looks like the poeple before me never used to flush the toilet! It now has a nasty looking yellow mark round the bottom where the water mark is. I have been bleeching and scrubbing it every night but it still looks the same! Anyone any ideas?

Afternoon, just got in, I haddn't seen the list but pleased it's dining room today as I don't have one :) entrance hall must have been a jinx as took the cardboard for recyling (nearst place 9 mile away) after appointment today :) so you can get through the door now :) We eat in the kitchen which was done yesterday :) Did some dailies this morning before went out, hall cobweb free (DP hates them)

Soda crystals in my local store are near the Vanish stuff etc, just down from fabric conditioner http://www.soda-crystals.co.uk/images/sodacrystalsbag.jpg looks like that! Our kids don't finish for half term until the 16th!! Didn't realise they were so different. Maybe teacher training days at yours. Snow forecast for here tomorrow too, I can't stand the stuff or that they usually close the school but the kids love it.

Toilet have you tried an overnight soaking of vinegar ? I use Bicarb or Borax if really nasty! Sink, water marks are fine as long as it's clean, but stardrops and a microfibre cloth does a good job on mine.

So here goes what's left to do

    Rest of dailies

    Entrance, hallway
[STRIKE]1. Clear away any cobwebs, dust [/STRIKE]and wipe down front door
    2. Clean any dirty marks off walls, clean light switch.
[STRIKE]3. Dust any furniture in hallway [/STRIKE]
    4. Hoover floor
    5. [STRIKE]Straighten and sort coats[/STRIKE] and outdoor shoes

Add clean stairs and banister to that as it leads straight up the stairs

    Nighttime stuff (inc laundry away)

DS1 is upstairs having his PC time, DS2 in kitchen playing with his beads so will get cracking soon.
One day I might be more organised...........
