Advice re broadband and line transfer from sky

  • just found the following under the broadband section of mysky account...

    Download speed setting
    Your connection has been set to a download speed of up to 2.0Mbps .

    Upload speed setting
    Your connection has been set to an upload speed of up to 0.6Mbps .

    These line settings make sure that your line maintains a stable connection





    Does that mean i cant get any faster with sky even on unlimited? Would the same be true of other providers too?

    As per previous post, you have either had a noisy line previously or you did not keep the router switched on during the first couple of weeks of use, when DLM is run.
    You have sufficient headroom on your downstream noise margin for a faster connection, ring Sky and ask them to increase the speed.
    They will be able to see your router statistics but its a good idea to have them handy when you call.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.
