From what I could work out Ds2 had been sl agging dd off on Fb to one of his friends and she read it. Why oh why cant I just have a quiet house just for a day. So shouted at them both which perhaps wasn't a good idea , my poor neighbours:o:o. He is refusing to delete the comments , they were very spiteful so he has packed up and gone off to his dads stropping

Oh dear, as one who has had trouble with what teens are putting on FB you have my sympathy, thing is, in our day we moaned to our mates and that was it, now its on FB for everyone to see, don't get me wrong, I love FB it helps me keep in contact with friends and family but think maybe the younger generation need to be a bit more savvy about letting the world see their problems!

    Anyways, hi everyone

Went shopping yesterday and didn't hit anyone with my trolley! think that was a result. Waiting for OH's DS and family to arrive, doing bolognaise, usually do like an early christmas but not up to it this year, whether his DD turns up on not...who knows! his other son is working today so he won't be here.

Need to do big tidy up tomorrow and tuesday, so everything is shipshape before we go back down south for funeral and christmas, will be back day after boxing day as due back at work the day after, am signed off till then, Dr says I can have more time if I want but.......need to get back to normal and also the money factor!....it always seems strange to me that we are supposed to exist on less money if we are ill, like telling landlord and council oh sorry I am sick so I will pay you less :(

Hope you all are having a good day cyas soon xxx

  • HIya adies,

A bit late in the day I know, but thought I'd pop on to say hello.

Not a terribly exciting day here but a relaxing one. Which was needed after the cat keeping me awake screaching to go out / come in repeatedly overnight.

Although the neighbour whose wall was causing damp has kindly taken away the wall, and given me the blocks :j, it's exposed a bigger problem as we now have to get the space behind the wall pointed up urgently as it's not been done and looks terrible - no wonder we've such a cold house! He's putting new tenants in by the 5th of January and wants it to be done by then but I can't get a builder so I may have to do it myself.

Daisy, the friendliest chicken, has taken to laying eggs in random spots so it's now like a treasure hunt when we go out to collect eggs - yesterdays was behind the dustbin on a soft parcel and todays was under the garden table. Not sure if she's trying to be annoying or whether she thinks she's clever!

Another no spend day / no petrol day here and using up some chard for dinner in either a greens and halloumi or greens and potato curry - not sure yet. Might also do some dahl and maybe chappattis. We love to eat Indian food and I love to cook it which is good news all round, and I find it very veggie friendly.

I still have a pumpkin and a squash from veg boxes a few weeks back but no idea what to do with them. They don't need using up desperately but no inspiration.

Just a quick visit between church services this a.m. Out to lunch, Youth Club Nativity play (Rock around the Flock - don't ask!), and Drop-in tonight. By the time th eagle lands tonight I will only be fit to crawl into bed.:)

Sorry Strictly has finished but agree that the right person won. What are we going to do with our weekends now? No Strictly, no Downton, I might be forced into something more cultural.

JulieG wouldn't it be wonderful, a baby for Christmas. Perhaps it's fortunate that nature decides these things for us.

Bramble Poor thing! Don't worry, as long as you can drink through a straw all is not lost.

JC What a tricky situation for you. As long as your Dss have someone to support them they will survive and you can make up the hugs when you see them.

Well, it's time to go next door and have my eardrums assaulted.:eek::eek:

Love does not envy another's home that has more expensive presents, or even coordinated Christmas china and table linen.

  • Evening all

All my Christmas shopping is done :D yay! And I didn't kill anyone whilst shopping :rotfl: (see my FB status!). Just need to do the food shopping later in week for fresh veg and stuff.

So I now have lots to wrap tonight, I've been given a chocolate orange today so will eat that whilst drinking Baileys and wrapping present to a Christmas film later :D.

Met flakey friend and TBH she was a bit offish, spent all her time talking about her new BF and how they are planning on moving in together next month - they got together mid Oct . So I don't think I'll keep up contact in the New Year, leave it to her to decide to contact me. I don't need her drama or the one sided friendship.

OS update - WM been on with handwash only dresses, flatmate hasn't tidied or hoovered kitchen  but in fairnesss she has been ill, so I guess I'll be doing that later.

    Have a good evening all

Have had a bath and am in my jammies, need to prep stew for tomorrow and then early night for me still in loads of pain and it's knocked it out of me.
