Morning everyone,
Bramble, that sounds nasty, hope it heals in time for you to enjoy your Christmas dinner!
Hugs to JC, it must be hard for you at the moment.
JulieG, take it easy!
Esmf, I get a hangover after one glass of wine too, I had one yesterday after half a glass of wine on friday night!
Hugs to all in need especially JackieG, Dazi, Lou and LW and anyone else that I have missed.
Hester, it is really frosty here this morning too, I got really excited when I woke up as I thought that it had snowed!
Off to church this morning, I am doing the reading today, it terrifies me but I feel that I need to do it every so often. Also going to church tonight as it is the carol service and DD1 is playing her violin for the carols.
Two more days left at work and then I can start to get really festive.
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Morning All
Feeling better today on the hangover front (wouldn't mind but I can't drink much and still feel rotten the next day!), but the cold is now very snotty.
DD off to work soon and I am going to Ikea with some friends as they want my car to get some wardrobes. Hopefully they will buy breakfast! Real christmas tree arriving late afternoon so need to get some lights for that. House looking remarkably good but that may be because we never seem to be in at the moment! Washing up to date just a little ironing to do.
Unfortunately Richard, our long-living hamster died yesterday. Definitely no more pets here.
Hope you all have a good Sunday. Take care. XX0 -
Morning all,
Been up ages, OH went off to the boot sale early this morning, and left the outside tap running which whistles throughout the house
, it was driving me mad, so had to get up and turn it off.
Blooming cold and very frosty here, but is looks very pretty, got my trees up yesterday :T, so feeling very Christmassy here, dd and I are going to do the food shopping on wednesday, and then I am not going near a shop till after Xmas (yeah right
).
Not sure whats for dinner today, will look at meal plan in a while, it wont be anything fancy though, as we have really simple meals in the riun up to the big day, to make the meal more special.
Might go to the afternoon boot sale later for a wander round, also DD got a beautiful Kath Kidson mug for her secret santa, it really is lovely, and nice and big, so I might accidently have to nip in there
Bramble, Ouch, poor you, take it easy, and get your OH to spoil you xx
JulieG Good Luck and keep us posted xx
JC, your poor lads, bought a lump to my throat reading that, and there is nothing harder for a mum, knowing their kids need a hug, and not being able to be there, hugs to you xx
Kathy, safe trip home xx
Bedding is in the wm, will hang it out as it looks like it will be nice, will get dd to strip hers tomorrow.
Need to hoover through, and start to scan old photos for my dads Xmas present, I am doing him an album, starting from him as a child, and going through the years, to include his time in the army, meeting my mum, having us children, grandchildren etc.
OK better get on, have good days all xx0 -

another who woke up early:mad: so annoying on your day off!
DS2 has got a cold but has been dosed up and gone to work - didn't want to let them down as it's manic in the supermarkets before Christmas.
DH is having a much deserved lie in.
I'm planning to make some leek and potato soup(69p leeks in Aldi) and also a big batch of mince pies - cant stand bought ones and the pastry recipe I got off here is lovely.
House is tidy. WM is on. There's some ironing to do later.
Very frosty here - have filled up the bird feeding station with fat balls, seed and peanuts so there is frantic activity from our huge sparrow population!:) I love watching them.
loved Strictly last night and am so glad Harry won - he deserved to!
Bramble - poor you, take it easy x x x

Morning all! WM number 5 of the weekend is on, and 1 more to go I think. Pot of stew bubbling away for steak pie tonight, think I'm cooking all OH's favourite dinners just now to make up for me working 12 hour shifts next weekend! Am waiting for the new tv being delivered today, free delivery as the only one in the shop was scratched, and the salesman found out current tv is under warranty till 12 January, so that will be repaired or replaced and go into the bedroom.
Later will take mum to great aunts for her birthday, if we can get the car along her street, then sort out her christmas food as far as possible, might even fit in some ironing.....lucky me!!!
Have a great day, hugs where needed or just for the sake of it!!!:rudolf:
ETA Bramble..ouch!!! Look after yourself!RIP Iain

Camelot - ((((hugs))))
Still no snow here (I don't know why I'm surprised I do live right next to the sea!! :rotfl:) but a beautiful day.
I'm off out shortly. Need to pick up my train tickets for tomorrow from the station - I'm going to Birmingham for a 2 hr meeting, it will be a 7hr return journey by train . But I do get to meet up with one of my friends there and have dinner before coming back :j.
Then I'm off to town for when the shops open. I have one thing to return to Primark, and need to buy 3 more presents and then I'm done for Xmas shopping
, just the food left to get then. I'm meeting the girls for lunch and then meeting flakey friend for coffee later in afternoon. I haven't seen flakey friend since October. Think our friendship is naturally coming to an end
, we both now work opposite ends of country, she is busy with her new BF and doesn't seem to have time for me. But I'm making the effort to see her today cos we have been good friends for years.
Then tonight I plan to put on a Christmassy film, open the Baileys and get the wrapping paper out
OS wise - WM on with bedding, laundry from yday put away, DW emptied. I'm hoping flatmate will clean kitchen and hoover as it's all her mess!
Have a great day all

Morning All,
It's snowing:j have had a good couple of inches here. It's looking very Christmassy:snow_laug
Just had a long chat to my eldest boy in Australia who is sweltering in the sunshine.
Not much housework today. I cleaned yesterday and the washing is all done. Tea will be chicken salad with new potatoes. I love salad and trying to eat as healthy as possible.
I loved strictly last night, the best person won for sure. Saturday nights won't be the same without it.
One last present to buy today and need some spray paint for the kitchen cupboards which will hopefully be finished this wk.
Not much else today, be safe and hugs were needed, J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.0 -
Bore Da everyone,
Bramble - Ouchy!! Gently does it with the eating and drinking.
FB - Nice plan, Baileys and Christmassy film - shame I'm at work, laters!
JC - How very difficult for you, nothing I can offer other than virtual hugs.
Well it looks nice and bright and sunny out there, could do with being at home and catching up with washing and ironing but will have to do some tomorrow morning before nights. Am also planning small shopping trip for last bits of pressies tomorrow with DD1.
Last nights tea turned out to be cottage pie and veggies as DH thought the cajun pork could do with longer in the SC. He makes a mean cottage pie and gravy - yummy
Well, I'd better get on, love and hugs to all.
