The majority of the January comps won't even have finished yet anyway, so it's mainly comps you entered in December that are annouincing winners at the moment. February will probably be quiet as there are a lot fewer comps during January.

Not surprising to most regular compers I guess, but thought this was interesting -

(summary - 16 year old entered STA Travel comp & won the star prize but T&C say only open to age 18+ so she lost the prize. Wasn't even allowed to transfer it to her parents). I wonder if they will select a 2nd winner, pretty sure I remember entering it!0 -

I posted this in another thread but I will post it here too just in case others haven't seen it.
The web development company that my husband works for is often asked to devise forms which have an invisible field, so when a person fills out the form the field would be blank but an automated form filler would fill that field in, so the person receiving the form knows that it was automated.
I wonder whether form fillers such a roboform / 1password would fill these blank fields in.
I had never thought about it before, but its just because my husband said that my competition entries may be invalid because I use 1password.0 -
Just a heads up please, pretty please.
If any of y'all see/find any Vitality Show tickets (free of course), please let me know. I try to go every year (bar one) but I win the tickets. Last year, a kind MSER sent me a link so I was able to download free tickets.

I was wondering about this too. I use Autofill and have been doing 50-100 comps a day for 8 weeks and won nothing. Not a bean. I'm looking for reasons but perhaps I'm just on a losing streak. Maybe regular winners could let us know whether they use form fillers or whether they complete them manually?0 -

I think the vast majority use form fillers such as Roboform. When you enter competitions, do you tend to enter those just for big prizes? If you enter lots for smaller prizes too, such as a book, you will stand more chance of winning these and the small prizes keep you going. Also try entering ones where effort is required, such as writing a story, or a caption to a funny picture, or uploading a photo. You are more likely to win if effort is needed. Also look out for local competitions, where you have to collect the prize from your home town. I am sure you will get something soon if you persevere.0 -
Thats interesting re auto fillers. Next question to this is is there any way that we can check to see if there is an invisible box. I read on one of the post that someone had actually done this.0
