I'd also like to add that if they do cancel the orders, I think that would be extremely unfair. They cannot assume that everyone who has joined since yesterday has "gamed" the system purely because they had seen it posted on here. Their instructions were plain and simple.

    Earn free wine

For every wine you rate or friend you invite to join WineDemon you'll earn points which can be redeemed to spend with our friends at Naked Wines.

This is what many on here have simply done - joined up and rated wines in exchange for points, myself included. How they can say that we "gamed" the system, I do not know. What exactly did we do wrong???

Well I've just checked the Nakedwine website and my order and account are still there - so no idea what they are doing and will just have to see if it turns up tomorrow.
Nothing gone from my credit card but probably that is done on the day of delivery??

I would think it would be charged on the day of despatch which should really have been today but we will see

To be honest, the stroppy post on here this morning and their moaning on facebook are already doing enough to put me off the company... they made a mistake they now seem annoyed about and now they are saying everyone is 'gaming the system' - just sounds unprofessional the way they have responded..

Anyway my credit card has just the postage charge against it so far, but I don't know whether to stay at home in case it turns up tomorrow or not! If they deliver on time as promised they may well get more orders but if they cancel these they will have a lot of negative publicity.

At least people will have heard of them now...

I don't think they will cancel the orders as it would be a huge damage to their reputation, but they will definitely learn from their mistakes.

Agreed! I'm sure larger companies would tend to honour the orders in this situation and chalk it down to making a mistake. Not sure about Naked Wines though. From the little I know about them they have won many awards for business initiative.

This time I think they'll end up with the "Biggest Marketing BooBoo" award if they backtrack :)

Revoke their Naked Wine accounts as well!
Yes I've been reading about Demonwines on Facebook and their blog - as you say unprofessional moning.
Someone said the above to them but they didn't give a reply.

Also Demon said people were gaming the system and using different emails and names (meaning multiple accounts) - I think very few have done that from what I have read here.

Surely if they win all these awards someone woud have thought through the offer properly - and who are they (and how) are they going to decide who gave a legitimate review or not?

Also agree with what someone said above - their website very poorly designed.

Well still no money taken out of my account so looks like mine might have been cancelled - but not been told about it!! Read good service!

How can you see it's been picked?

I have checked my account and it just says order received with a green box and tick next to it and the date it's meant to be delivered (which is tomorrow).

I took part in this offer but reviewed wines I have had before, luckily in September my OH and I tasted quite a few as had to choose some for a party we were holding for his father, so hopefully we get something, I paid £10.48 all in all but still excellent for some good wines for Xmas!
