  • Well done Penny on getting Tesco card down and the cooking and cleaning.
Managed to get a £5 off a £40 shop at Tesco (bought DS b'day pressie, now i just need to sneak it into the house!) for next week.

Well reminded on ebay, i have my last few things to go on, eekkk, never thought i'd run out!

  • Good morning, quick update before work.

Yesterday i managed to spend £44.87 in sainsbugs, used £6 voucher, hopefully the only thing I should need later in the week is milk.

Made £20 on ebay and withdrew $5 from superpo!nts (around £3) so that wil hit paypal next week.

Had a quite day at home with the kids, played with hama beads and clay. We also took dogs for a walk.
Really am ready for half term now, we are have 2 days away at OH aunties. so that will be a nice break, should cost very little as whilst we are there its mainly vsiting family, so may take the kids to the park but no expensive theme parks, also going to do some baking to take with us as auntie always insists on feeding us and not paying for anything, so at least I feel i've contributed, will make a lemon loaf, choc cake and some fairy cakes.

Better get kids up and get ready for work.
  • Quick update.

    Have managed a NSD.
Recieved some cat treats through the post, cat is scoffing some now.
Going to do some baking as I have some lemons past there best, so will make a lemon cake, there is also a bit of pastry needing using so will make a quiche, which will do for lunches tomorrow.

Still plodding on with surveys, but seem so far away from payout on so many.
  • Morning, not posted for a few days, feel as though i'm on a hamsters wheel at the moment, too much to do not enough time to do it and feel a general wreck:(, roll on Friday.

Had parents evening this week which went well, promised the kids a small reward each (£5) for doing well.

Nipped into town yesterday to pay a bill, popped into wilkos and managed to spend £9.45 and then sainsbugs, spent another £19.98 should not shop when i'm tired and hungry:o:mad:, on the plus side I did use £10 of nectar points in sainsbugs so the shopping came to £9.98 in cold hard cash. Also bought my lunch yesterday £2.50:(, its ages since i have done that, I was just so tired that I couldn't be bothered and bought one from the sandwich shop:o.

Have recieved £3.05 from superpo!nts and redeemed another £3 from mysurvey.

    Today should be a nsd.
  • Morning, its finally the weekend and half term,I am so ready for a break.

Yesterday was a NSD:D and I recieved £3 into paypal from mysurvey.

Today I have managed to redeem another £5 from mysurvey so should recieve that next week sometime, I've also done my 250 Nectar adpoints, need to go and do some swagbucks and superpoints.

Today should also be a NSD as i'm refusing to go out, its so cold and I want to get a head start on the house work, as we go to see family tomorrow for a couple of days.

Breakfast has been poridge, lunch is sausage sandwiches and some fruit for pud and tea will be kievs, sauteed potatoes and veg.

Recieved Jogging bottoms from boden this morning, lovely quality and only 30p, DS likes them as well which is a bonus:D.

    Have a good weekend.
  • Happy half term Penny :)

  • Thanks NL, hope you well. Its gone really cold hasn't it, but I bet the views over the bay yesterday were beautiful.

So I set my alarm for 6.30am, have a cake to bake and some washing still to do before we go to visit family, but guess who forgot about about the clocks, oh well.
  • Thought you were up early!
Yesterday was lovely but today was a washout, sent husband out to Warton Crag with the dog as I felt crap (buried my lovely Nana on Friday (sobs))...

House now smells of damp dog but I got my ebay sales packaged up, stuff we thought would never sell netted £120! Old knitting machine or used portaloo anyone??!

  • Well done ont the sales Northern lassy.

Last few days seem to have been up and down, but thats life at the minute.

We had a great few days away and was nice to get away and not think about debt, spent around £20 which wasn't bad.

Decided to be very organised this month and have done a meal plan for 30 days:D, made a shopping list to go with it including stuff for packed lunches, baking and breakfasts, I then went on Mr sainsbugs and wrote down all the prices next to each item, Today I went to lidl armed with A4 sized shopping list, If i could buy it in lidl and it was cheaper it went into the trolly, then went on to sainsbugs to get the rest of the shopping, managed to spend £67.47 in Lidi and £108.45 in sainsbugs, lots of meat bought in sainsbugs, i know that I still need to buy milk, eggs and fruit/veg later in the month but i'm hoping to cover this by using clubcard vouchers (think i have around £10 on the way) also redeemed a sainbug voucher not so long ago and will also try to use any nectar points I have.

Took DD and her friend bowling and had a late lunch at mcdonalds, so £22 spent, this came out of the entertainment budget for the kids, also spent £9.90 on some socks and undies/vests for DD in sainsbugs, they have another of there 25% of all clothes sales on.

:DSo the day seemed to be going well, DD happy as she had had some fun with her friend, Ds has gone off with his dad for the day and I managed to do a massive shop for the month.

:mad:Got home to a lovely letter from Barc card letting me that after a review of my account the are suspending it and will not be sending me a new card and not to use my current one as it will be declined, what the f**k i've been with them for 16 years, always paid on time never missed a payment, ok in the last few months i've only been paying the minimum back but its always been paid on time, i'm utterly gobsmacked, I know this is the best thing really as now I can't be tempted to use it and I certainly will not be reapplying for a card from them as they have kindly stated I could do in the future, as far as I am concerned they can go scr£w themselves. From now on they will be referred to as b*st*rdcard:mad:.

Ok rant over, off to make tea and see about some more surveys.
  • Been online and checked my Barc cc account, have paid £200 off.

This has been a bit of a wake up call, I can't go on living like this, i'm not some young girl with no responsibilities (sorry spelling), i have kids, mortgage, bills, i'm a grown woman that needs to get a grip of her life.
