I get a wire coathanger, straighten it out then make a narrow hook on one end. Post the hook down the plughole, twizzle twizzle pull and yeaurgh! All the slimey hair comes out :j

    Lovely!

It doez help, but in my experience you will still need to fish out long hair every now and then since some of it seems to be able to get through anyway.

I have some hair spray remover mousse that I bought in Wilkinsons and it is too strong for my skin so I'm going to try squirting it down the plug-hole tonight. I'm strangely excited by doing this as I really don't want to have to fish out the hairs of the three blokes I share a house with!! Urgh...

  • Just in general or for unblocking plug holes?:p

I've found that nothing beats a good long crochet hook!

Pound shop does the hair removers cheap, also seen a product called 'drain away' 3 packs for £ in there yesterday

I can't take mine off or I would

Yeah the nice thing about wearing a wig I guess is that you can chuck it in the washing machine and do something else while getting your hair washed. :D

I just can't do it.. I end up being sick and the mere thought of this makes my skin creep!

Sod the environment said I and tipped Mr Muscle sink and drain unblocker down.. that worked.. made a big hairball.. like a rat.. sit on my drain cover.. DISGUSTING!!!!!! I made DH collect that and bin it!!

  • Cillit Bang (the advert with the man with the annoyingly loud voice) is like a bleach you pour down the plug hole, leave it for a half hour and run the tap for a few minutes. The hair and gunk should dissolve. We've got to do this in our shower every couple of months.

I always use a crochet hook. It's really satisfying to get a good big slimy lump out! (Sorry if that makes anyone feel sick, but I bet I'm not the only person to get a kick out of it!)
Oh dear, here we go again.
