Thanks for replies. Interesting how some people dont mind what they wear and can drive.

I bought these last year (£20 fromn field and trek) , which although they are flexible just dont have the grip with my citroen steering wheel.

I want something that is a tight fit but flexible so my hands dont get sore/tired (45min drive at 6am to work) especially in the winter days.

I will check out the links above. Do the riding gloves come with any neoprene/rubberised parts on the contact parts for fingers and palm?

I wear thinsulate gloves, sold by aldi at the moment. They're sort of mock brushed suede, quite grippy, don't slip on the wheel, and warm.

Unless you also wear a flat cap and smoke a pipe, why do people wear gloves for driving?

My heater keeps me nice and warm

to keep my hands comfortable and avoid joint pains from extended holding of a cold steering wheel. Shame they dont make heated steering wheels!:rotfl:

    How does it warm up?

The car heater is nowhere near it, and it's a lot bigger than my hand, so usually all that happens is my hands freeze.

OK I take your point but it will warm up because the inside of the car is warm and will warm from your body temperature.

I can honestly say that I have never noticed my steering wheel to be cold after the inside of my car has warmed up in the morning

Wait until you get older as well.
