It's Xmas and we need to agree on some things ... I've put a few facts together:-

1. Houses are selling very fast in the South.

2. Currently, houses are not selling in the North.

3. House prices in the South are moving upwards - actual selling.

4. Currently, houses are not selling for any price in the North.

5. People are spending plenty in the South.

6. People cannot rub two pennies together in the North.

7. Jobs are available in the South, we cannot get applicants.

8. Jobs are as rare as rocking horse poo in the North.

Not that I want to defend MrRee because I think you and him are opposite sides of the same coin, but according to land Reg house prices in Poole have shown an increase for the last 3 months.

I used Poole because that’s where you seem to think he lives.

I thought Sibley / Bangkok Dave lived in Pattaya and had a house in Maidstone?

It's interesting that Sibley has eventually landed up in Pattaya. Most not-quite expats who don't quite cut it in Bangkok, end up there. It's part of the inevitable decline - a settling at the right level.

he said he has houses in christchurch/mudeford
i showed the other day that prices were collapsing there

poole is a terrible example to use
one or two houses selling on sandbanks could skew the numbers significantly

That, right there, is an excellent example of some quite funny and very successful major trolling. Can I add the classics:

    9. House prices double every sevent years.

    10. Rent money is dead money.

    11. You can't go wrong with bricks and mortar.

    12. The Midlands always seems to get left out of these types of things.
