I have today recieved a 'intention of legal action' letter from DRP. Should I continue to ignore these letters?

You and about 25 others today and 25 yesterday and 25 the day before! Just the usual letter chain. File it and ignore it!
Assuming its for a private parking charge?0 -
Yes, just ignore. These are the usual meaningless and empty "threats" from this bunch of clowns. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Yes, here's the next one:

Thanks for the replies, just getting jumpy afetr hearing about this 'freedom' bill which might give these people more powers?0

There is a concensus of opinion that the "new" powers will be almost the same and the much vaunted "rk responsible" will be a damp squib. See last post Dimaru
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=67017&st=15 chap admitted driver, admitted contract and they still lost on the penalty aspect etc.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0 -
And anyway, it wouldn't be backdated, so any existing fake ticket would operate under the current rules.0

Thamks for those comments. Just read one of the stickies, and the suggestion is to tell them I was not the driver and to go away (politely). As I was not the driver should I do that, or not bother waisting the stamp?0

I'd suggest that you don't waste the stamp. The "stickie" you're referring to is getting on a bit now and the general advice is that you simply ignore all correspondence.talesfromwales wrote: »Thamks for those comments. As I was not the driver should I do that, or not bother waisting the stamp? My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -

That's not on a sticky is it? Isn't that on an article on the site? Or did you waste your time reading the Park Right sticky (the least useful one)?
The stickies you should read are 'PPC letters, what to expect' and 'welcome, please read before posting' with the Watchdog youtube clip. Those are the only stickies you need to look at to understand this scam and to have your preview of the letters you will be ignoring.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
