I think a lot of it depends on your outlook on life. I am very impulsive, but I also hate being caught out. If I haven't planned properly, I'm at risk of being royally ripped off because I didn't check deals, places to stay etc. Perhaps your friend is not so good with money but you are?
I have friends whose lives on the outside appear their life is perfect, but we all know that is never the case! If you envy your friend, have you ever tried being a little more impulsive to see what it brings you? :)

I envy the get up and go I suppose, the joie de vive and mine is joie de flat:rotfl::rotfl:I don't know anything about the money side of the weekend away just thought it would be wonderful to be impulsive like that, I am sure I could do it, we all could but whether we do it or not is another matter:D

I like both sometimes the planning and anticipation is fun , others it's great just to head the kids, passports and go.

Seeing other people do it would interest me if it was a place I fancied going or had been to or was interested in but envy is such an empty destructive emotion that no I wouldn't envy them. Odd how you critics your son for envying his friends and comparing his life to theirs when u do the same though
People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

As polite as I have always conducted myself you could make anyone wish they never knew anything about you.

Shall we just leave it for peace and harmony and for me to say one last time..........jog on.:p:D

    Until the next one....natch.
