Student fees driving women into prostitution
Comments

I was in Africa about 15 years ago, and there were lots of young women working as prostitutes. They were selling themselves for just a few pence to try and feed their whole family. It was a tragic, sad and heartrending sight to see, but for these people, it really was the only option.
Such a sad, sad thing to witness.
It does however, put the ludicrous claims by those jumped up oiks at the NUS into perspective.
Doing a degree is a lifestyle choice. If someone wants to go on the game to keep themselves in booze and fags whilst they complete a degree in aquatics or media studies, then it's their choice. No one in this country is being forced into university.Nothing is foolproof, as fools are so ingenious! 0 0

If you substitute the word shelf-stacking for prostitution, then your post continues to make sense - the difference is that 19-year-olds actually enjoy sex, especially if they are getting £100 an hour, but shelf-stacking sucks

My post makes sense anyway. My point is that their fees are paid (albeit with a loan) and they get a maintenance loan, and can (SHOULD) get a job behind a bar, in a shop, at a leisure centre, whatever, and that is (SHOULD BE) enough for them to live on. They only need to turn to turning tricks because they have to have the designer gear, high-end vodka, fags, drugs, etc. etc.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0
