Have to get an electric screwdriver as an Xmas present! Seen a Bosch one on amazon that has angled attachments but unfortunately It's out of stock, its about £30 emailed them but they can't guarantee stock or delivery before Xmas, so can anyone reommend a similar one at similar price that's half decent?
Person I am buying for has a drill so don't tell me to go for a drill! It's what he has asked for and is really difficult to buy for so for once I am amazed he has given some idea what he'd like for Xmas!!!!!!

Youd be better of just getting a re-chargeable drill that can double as a screwdriver.
IMHO stand alone electric screwdrivers are pretty useless as their so low powered.0 -

This is a brilliant tool. The main advantage is the Lithium battery which doesn't suffer memory effect, last a long time and doesn't 'self discharge' like cheaper nicad based ones, so its usually ready to go even after weeks when you need it instead of needing charging first.0 -
I have 2 of the Bosch IXO. AT todays price it's a good buy. It will also take standard extention pieces. I have a 2" and a 4" for reaching into tight places.Yes, I usually tell it as I see it and respond where I see the need, but never are my comments ment to be taken personally.0

I was going to post a thread as I may be getting one of the Bosch IXO's off wor lass for xmas... one thing worth noting is all the ones that people have linked to don't come with the angle attachment....
BandD do one that has the bits set higher which enables better access, but I prefer the Bosch0 -
Electric screwdrivers lol A total waste of time IMO. I made the mistake of purchasing one and don't use it.
A lot better is one of these. The battery never goes flat and they are as quick or even quicker than any electric screwdriver. I have two older models that were handed down to me, one large, about 16.5" and the other smaller at around 13" both made by Stanley.
The smaller one is a lot like this but that one is a cheaper make.0 -
Thanks everyone the one I was looking at on Amazon is indeed the Bosch IXO
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-Cordless-Lithium-Ion-Screwdriver-Easy-Reach/dp/B0038M1X9O/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1323884978&sr=8-3
Unfortunately it's out of stock I emailed Amazon and they can't tell me when or even if it will ever be in stock
If anyone can find it at a similar price at a reputable place let me know, the Xmas clock is ticking but I can't find it at such a good price anywhere else, money saving scrooge that I am, well wouldn't be on here otherwise!!
The one without the attachments is in stock, but I think the old man would be happier with "attachments"!0
