How do you make spam fritters!? I love those things! And no fish & chip shop near me sells them anymore so I would LOVE to know how to make the fritter bit.

I posted the recipe on post #19

To make Chip shop batter - self raising flour and water and good pinch of salt only. Beat well to a thick coating consistency. Dip slice of whatever in flour, and then in batter. Check that your fat is hot enough by dripping a little bit of the batter in the hot fat, it will float and brown very quickly. You'll also get plenty of chippie 'scraps' as well.

I was friends with people who ran local chippie years ago, and they were well known for there batter.

Great for onion rings, banana fritters, apple fritters etc.

Mon - lasagne (from the freezer cos I remembered to take it out)
Tues - Kedgeree (if I remember to defrost the haddock)
Wed - Chicken curry (if I remember to defrost the chicken)
    Thur- Macaroni cheese and salad
Fri- Tuscan Chicken (a la Quasar)
Fri- salmon and spinach pasta (if I remember to defrost the salmon)
    Sat- Sausage egg and chips
Sun - Roast chicken and trimmings ( if I remember to buy another chicken)

As you can see my menu plan is entirely dependant on me remembering to take stuff out of the freezer and is subject to change at any time;)
