  • I bring sandwiches every day for work and I know OH will be having cheese and ham toasties (it's apaprently the law), so evening meals will hopefully be:-

    Monday - beans on toast
    Tuesday - shepherd's pie + extra veg
    Wednesday - same
    Thursday - pasta + salad
    Friday - HM chippy tea
Saturday - chicken breast with salad and crusty bread
Sunday - sunday dinner with trimmings

I also baked yesterday so guess what puddings will be!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D
  • First time I've written my meal plan on here....

Monday : macaroni & cheese (with friend onions, peppers, mushrooms)
Tuesday : eggs, chips & beans
Wednesday : chicken goujons (1/2 price in Sainsburys + 50% extra free), potatoes, sweetcorn
Thursday : chicken casserole (make enough for 2 nights)
    Friday : HM veg lasagne
Saturday : chicken casserole (from Thursday night)
    Sunday : turkey, potatoes, broccoli

Still trying to get into the swing of meal plan/food monthly budget but already noticing a change - especially with taking lunches to work.

Monday - trout in a creamy white wine sauce with new pots and veg
Tuesday - we have people laying flooring in kitchen tue/wed so I might tempt OH to the pub for dinner (2 meals for £6 though)
    Wednesday - pad thai
Thursday - pork kebabs with potato wedges
Friday - fish and chips (home made)
    Saturday - venison pasta
Sunday - roast lamb, roast pots and veg
  • saturday - salmon fishcakes (recipe from this months delicious magazine)
sunday - paprika pork (recipe from this months delicious magazine)
monday - beef goulash with pasta (recipe as above)
tuesday - ham hock soup (HM)
wednesday - ravioli on toast (from tin!)
thursday - crispy pancakes and chips (from packet!)
    friday - curry (HM)
  • So organised this week!
Wrote a meal plan, noting on the back which items I needed to shop for, zipped round Lidle and Mr T, triumphantly checked off list when I got home,
    binned it...

    So, working from memory, :o
Sat: HM beef curry in the SC (+2 frozen),
Sun: cheese toastie (because I'd turned the thermostat down so much the d--n chicken wouldn't defrost),
Mon: Pot-roast chicken, greens and spuds.
    Tue: Bangers and onion mash
Wed: hummous & crackers/ savoury pancakes (working late)
    Thu: smoked mackerel salad
    Fri: liver and bacon.

The chicken gets sliced, portioned and frozen ready for packed work lunches which I alternate with sliced beef and sliced pork frozen from previous joints.

HM Spam fritters and chips with salad

How do you make spam fritters!? I love those things! And no fish & chip shop near me sells them anymore so I would LOVE to know how to make the fritter bit.

Fritters just batter, flour it then batter it and fry it. I can't make them any more as I ditched my frier.
One day I might be more organised...........
    GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb
