God created the world in six 'days' the length of which we do not know. Creation didn't happen all at once, the order is clearly set out.
This is typical. Your religious book says god created the world in 6 days. People believe this until science proves it to be incorrect. Then, rather than admitting it was incorrect, you decide that 6 days didn't actually mean 6 days, it meant 6 indeterminate lengths of time.
No wonder you claim nothing you say is factually incorrect, when the meaning of words is so flexible.0 -

LOL, I have no problem accepting that you sincerely believe what you sincerely believe, as previously stated I come from a family where faith and religion are very strong. The problem is understanding what it is you sincerely believe given that your previous responses appear to contradict each other and my own total bafflement as to the 'how' of theistic belief.Eat food. If you read the bible then you will see that the term 'day' is not always literal. We can't win if we said it was six days then obviously you'd say that can't be right when the earth is obviously much older than that would mean, if an explanation is given then we're still wrong!LOL, I have no problem accepting that you sincerely believe what you sincerely believe, as previously stated I come from a family where faith and religion are very strong. I apologise if my answers seem contradictory to you, I'm simply trying to explain the best I can and as I'm not a theologian the answers may not be up to your level of scrutiny.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Yes, you are still wrong. When science disproves something in the bible why can you not just admit it was wrong? Why must you bend the meaning of words, or claim that such and such wasn't meant literally? Just admit it was wrong. I'd have far more respect for you.0 -

Science hasn't proven the bible wrong actually! I'm not bending the meaning of words but giving you an explanation, now you are the one who decides whether that is something you accept or not. I certainly couldn't respect myself if I was to go against my beliefs just to satisfy someone on an internet forum.;)Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Science has proven that the earth and the creatures that live (or lived) on it have been around a hell of a lot longer than the bible claims.
Science has proven (beyond all reasonable doubt) that all animals (including modern humans) evolved into what they are today from more primitive life forms. They were not created by god (in an indeterminate length of time). God did not create man.
I could go on but you wouldn't listen anyway.0 -

I have answered the question as to what the bible says about the age of the earth.
Science has not proved that mankind evolved from anything, it's a theory albeit one which many support and believe.
We were created in the image of God but as you don't believe in Him I don't have a problem with you not believing in that.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

What scripture said this? Please tell me. I don't care about a Pope or a bishop or an imam, I want to know what religion widely practiced today doesn't ask for tolerance, understanding and acceptance.
Shall with start with Leviticus?
Leviticus 20:13 - "If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads."
20:9 “‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death. Because they have cursed their father or mother, their blood will be on their own head.
18 “‘If a man has sexual relations with a woman during her monthly period, he has exposed the source of her flow, and she has also uncovered it. Both of them are to be cut off from their people.
27 “‘A man or woman who is a medium or spiritist among you must be put to death. You are to stone them; their blood will be on their own heads.’”0 -
