problem with smoke alarm

Hu guys, Thank you for all your information. I managed to take a battery out after 6 hours of terrible beeping!!! Its so quiet now...
lol I feel your pain
Mine started a few months ago and me home alone and scared of heights, done my best to undo the thing the change the battery. No matter how mush I twisted and tugged the thing wouldnt open.
48 hours I listened to it beep
Then the fella came to do the garden, looked at it and pulled the wee tab at the side and voila - there was the battery
It was then I found out they didnt all twist open :rotfl:0 -
Check for dust and spiders inside, they can both set them off0

They usually do fail in the wee small hours - it's when it's coldest and the battery voltage just dips below the trigger level.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0
