Your mate's friends will also become embroiled in the ensuing court case. It is not worth it - don't do it.

PassPlus is hourly lessons charged at the normal rate for driving lessons ie dependant on which PassPlus approved examiner you use.

My son is with Direct Line, he only passed in November and learnt a valuable lesson by going fully comp. He had an accident last Friday and his car is a write off, without fully comp he would now be with out a car.
He also had a saxo, insured for £1800.

    Think carefully

cheapest insurnace for a young drive i have found is through ecar insurance which beat quinn-direct by miles
  • Have you tried Churchill?

2 years ago as a 17 year old girl with a 1.0l Nissan Micra, they insured me for £800 3rd party, fire and theft.

Sometimes if you add a parent to your policy it can bring the price down, but be careful because sometimes the premium will shoot up. As people have already mentioned, think about doing your pass plus? Churchill will give you a 25% discount but only if you've held your licence for under a year and have no "no claims discount".

So i was wondering if anybody has any suggestions on who else to try for cheaper car insurance for 18 year olds...

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thanks![/QUOTE]

My daughter is 18 too and she is insured with Tesco, she drives a Peugeot 206 1.9D and it costs her £1071 fully comp

also you could go through Quidco and save you a bit. I saved quite a bit on my car insurance as I got cash back

Boy racers and chavs need to be shot, im paying extra because of them tw*ts!
  • There is also the Institue of Advanced Driving test. If you are under 25 it is £75. I bought my son a gift voucher for them because he was shocked at how much his insurance was (he used to be on my car now has his own).
