LAM - i believe INR = item not received - am sure jwil will correct me if i'm wrongI agree too - the lovely weather just makes it so much easier to do things
So how is everyone today ? Any plans for le weekend ? I am hoping to go out on a mini adventure this weekend - this may be known to others as a morning out somewhere, an afternoon out or even a day out - as its not been decided where the destination is or the timescales involved i am a tad unsure on the details and i've decided that going for an adventure makes it sound far more excitingUnfortunately my OH thinks i've gotten my hopes up too much - bless him! Doesn't he realise that to go somewhere different and have a coffee and cake or fish and chips is all i need?
Worrying how my adventures always lead (in my head anyways) to a seaside fish and chip shop or a cafe
I'm also trying to make him see that we don't need to spend a fortune in order to go out somewhere and have a nice time
- this is a small work in progress. I will of course report back on how it all turned out
I am also hopeful that the weather will stay nice for le carbootyI used to go carbooting on a regular basis years ago, i then somehow stopped, got out of the habit, maybe went to a few that had the same stalls / items week in week out and finding nothing new and no new carboots i stopped going. I am really enjoying it at the moment though - although i have been a bit shocked by some of the language used :eek::eek: and the near spats between sellers and buyers :eek::eek: Do you ever see anything like this jwil ?
I was also shocked last week that a stallholder had put some material down which she was putting items on she was selling - just next to her table and i saw 2 people just walk over the material and step over the goods to get to another stall  This left the material full of their muddy footprints - How rude! I have also gotten countless bruises on my legs from people whacking into me with their bags of stuff and no apologies whatsoever
I am quite chirpy / giddy at the moment as i have been able to make a bit of a dent in target 1I had wanted this paid off in full by 31st of this month and that won't happen now
But i am still pleased to have seen it go down a fair bit x
Sounds like you've got a nice weekend planned DDFW
I like to have a drink or something when I'm out too, it makes it a nice treat.
There are some very rude people at car boots. I've almost had a domestic with someone who was shoving me about once, they are a dealer and are so unbelievably rude with it, if they ever ask me for something I'm selling, I really inflate the price . To be fair though, I don't see that much of it, most people are fine. It does get a bit of a scrum though sometimes and I don't like that.
Not sure what our plans for the weekend are, will most likely involve some booting"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

That is terrible jwil - just why do they think this sort of behaviour is acceptable  At least they'll never get anything they want from your stall now without paying way over the odds and that would be doubtful as they are buying to sell But Grr! Grr!
Yep i don't like the scrums either- i know some people like to be first at a stall but i prefer being able to look at stuff without having everyone leaning in and grabbing stuff. Actually though last week a lady turned up quite late to the car boot - 4 hours after it had opened and as she was unloading and we were waiting i spotted something i wanted - we were amongst the first at the stall so no-one else could have asked for the item without me hearing and i just politely asked 'excuse me is that x for sale please?' 'NO IT'S NOT!!' she snapped at me :eek::eek: Needless to say we left her stall and didn't bother waiting to see what she lifted out. I guess she just didn't like the setting up bit ?

The moral of the story is always read the T&Cs
I saw ebay's free listing for BINs this weekend, and was pleased as I'd been planning on converting a few of my listings to BIN anyway. So I duly did this for 104 items (figuring I'd pay the extra) and have been charged for the lot. This is because I put them on for 30 days and you can only do it for 7 or 10. Doh!
Oh well, I was going to do it anyway, and have managed to do two others without being charged now. It means I've still got some more left if I decide to do any more now as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Oh no jwil, glad you mentioned it as i would have done the same.0

I haven't had the most productive day today. Rushing around a bit this morning.
I have put 19 new items on ebay and have some more to add, but done enough for today and I also did some relists.
Hope everyone's had a good day x"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hello everyone, hope you had a good weekend.
I had a small ebay sale yesterday so another £6 to add to the total. I haven't done brilliantly this month. I've got a lot listed but it's stuff that will sell as and when someone wants it rather than things that would go quickly.
I do have some more listing that I must get on this week, so will try and get that done.
DH's job lot of stuff sold very well, but now it's just a case of trying to arrange collection. It will be nice to see it gone though.
I'm not feeling brilliant at the moment, so haven't been very productive or posting a lot. We've got a lot on in June as well, so not sure how much I'll get done there.
Have a good day everyone"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
