Well the boot sale was a huge success, we made a grand total of £0 :T
We drove all that way to find it was cancelled  So we went for a walk by the coast instead so it wasn't a completely wasted journey.
Ironically though, it was gloriously sunny there, would have been lovely!
We are going to try again tomorrow instead now.
Oooh, how annoying about the car boot but hooray for a nice walk and a sunny day. :T0 -
Well we were successful in our car booting this morning :T :T :T
We avoided the rain and sold lots of [STRIKE]crap[/STRIKE] quality items. Just waiting for DH to do the sums.
I tried to fix my internet yesterday, but couldn't find the cable to connect the router to the laptop, so was delighted to find one this morning, and even more delighted to pay only 20p. My delight extended even further, when, on following the instructions given to me by the operator yesterday on the phone, my internet connection was restored within about 30 seconds :T :T :T
Hope everyone is having a good day"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Sounds like a really successful day for you jwil :j:j:j Hope you made a nice profit from your own stuff too
I on the other hand am pleased i did not get up early for the carbooty after the torrential downpour which seems to start up again every 5 minutes
Excellenty on t'interweb working
peaceandfreedom - how did the potting on go ? did you get it all done ?
I have an absolute ton of stuff to do today so i had better get a wriggle on - however i have the cunning plan of popping on here inbetween tasks as part of my regular breaks

Thanks DDFW, we made over £130 and I've got over £50 of that, so very happy indeedy! My money's going towards fuel sadly, but it does mean I don't have to find that elsewhere now :j
I've been extremely busy this afternoon, decluttering a book and an easter egg :EasterBun

Your afternoon sounds so much better than mine jwil - in fact your whole day does - wanna swap ?
Well done on the carbooty takings :j:j:j Fab! Fab! Fab! And i also assume that after such good sales and fantastic savings then that has made some space for some 'new' stock for the carboot thus decluttering more :T:T:T
And as you say - £50 to fuel is brilliant as you don't have to use money from elsewhere for it so all good.
And chocolate and a book :T:T:T
The chocolate cake has in fact been calling to me today and i have very much slowed down on my jobs i have: -
Done 3 loads of clothes washing
Dried all of the above
Moved all of the above
Emptied all the bins
And then put the rubbish out
Dusted and hoovered living room, kitchen, hall stairs landing
Cleaned sides down in kitchen
Cleaned kitchen floor
Moved Pots
Washed Pots
Moved Pots
Made Tea
Carried items from one room to another as part of operation make space for maintenance man tomorrow - it feels like several hundred items and i've alot left to do but am shattered
Put several items away to the place they should have been in anyways
Checked some statements to make sure payments made were received
Shredded paperwork
Made bed
And now best drag myself up to at least carry something else upstairs :eek:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
DDFW - no I don't want to swap days thank you very much, yours sounds like far too much hard work
:rotfl:
We have indeedy started putting some more stuff out to replace the car boot stuff we've decluttered, so it's all good"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hmmm, DH did a bit of weeding in the garden yesterday, and uncovered a dog toy which has obviously been out there for a while.
The dog has just been outside and 'discovered' it again, so has now brought in the darned filthy soaking wet toy and is sitting here expectantly waiting for it to be thrown "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Blimey what productive days you are all having..I had a lie in until about 11 so started the day much behind yours and have never caught up:rotfl:..particularly as we went to a movie and a playpark this afternoon too!
Allotment is in a bit of a state...lots of weeds and some slug eaten mange tout..but have planted out more salad under plastic and hoping for a push on it this week when I and OH have a day off. Put in second earlies etc and clear some more ground. Also planted some jerusalem artichokes yesterday - I love them and when they go they grow like weeds:T
OH and I talking about trying to make rhubarb wine..we have loads of it and I am up for most things alcoholic!
just looked at budget and done some finalising..have £93 for rest of week...:eek:we will need to be very careful not to overspend. I will keep you posted on our progress!

What a pity about yesterdays car boot but at least today made up for it.
DDFW - your day really does sound exhausting.
I finally listed some things on ebay today so now I have to sit and wait and hopefully they will sell. Some already have watchers. I am so close to claiming another £5 Amazonia voucher off Swagbucks so off to play some games and perhaps watch Countryfile at the same time.
I have enough of the rain now - OH has bottom of garden sectioned off as a veggie garden - I dont really venture down there much. Keeps him out of my hair0 -
Well done on the car boot jwil
Liquid gold has to be paid for!! Good total.
I can see your doggie looking at you wanting to play:)
Well done on the de-cluttering.:):)"You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream"C. S. Lewis
