Hi Jwil
As DDFW says we have all experienced that on ebay. At least it is gone and you have some money for it. How is the rest of your ebay and amazon going? I sold a book over-night so that is another few pounds on its way.
Jwil...what does the 2 figures in your signature mean? Sorry if I sound dumb.
ddfw
Sorry to hear you got soaked. Be careful as you don't want to end up ill again. Never worry about the garden and the weeds in it. Old saying around here 'they will still be there when I am pushing up the daisies':):)
Thanks ebayqueen - and thanks for the phrase too - a nice way of putting things into perspective eh?peaceandfreedom wrote: »Well done. Weeding is hard work but it's worth it - often after clearing a bad area, I get a nice surprise every time I see it, just as you found. You know you've done a good job when you can see the difference with a quick glance into the garden. :T
I dug up the ground and weeded it, and then DH built the beds. They are fairly rough-looking because the ground is not even and they are made of old wood, but they will be largely hidden from view once I've finished that whole area. This week I am heading up the lane to where there is a massive stockpile of horse manure and I'm going to take home enough to put plenty in each bed.
Can't wait to get planting but the weather is so cold at the moment. Just have to be patient but there's lots of other things to be getting on with.
Peaceandfreedom - i am so glad that mr p&f helped you with your raised beds - with the manure are you not supposed to let it rot down for about a year - or am i confuzzled with something else ? Very easily done mind
And i've spotted your sig - you are doing brilliantly :jHey everyone
See my internet connection was that good last night, I double posted
It wasn't working this morning either, but seems to be ok tonight thankfully.
Loving all the gardening talk people, you haven't yet managed to inspire me :rotfl: Feel free to come and do mine
ebayqueen - the two numbers in the signature are the first two targets I'm aiming for. One obviously has gone the wrong way this monthbut I'm hoping to rectify that next month. The other one hasn't moved either. Oh well, it will improve.
Anyway, I managed a huge £4 payment today :T
jwil i'd happily help you in your garden - as long as you didn't mind if i accidentally killed somethingMainly i think you've got to make sure if moving shrubs then you move them at the right time - as far as pruning stuff goes i just get stuck in there and things have been fine - if its a seasonal flowering thing though then i have to make sure its died down a bit first. If you've too many established shrubs in your garden i did see (before it was in the mail) that these can sell for a good price = space in your garden and money in your pocket and a little house move for said plant

Thanks, DDFW, slowly but surely getting there.
The horse manure is already well-rotted, it's a huge pile and you just have to find the oldest sections. I went up there today actually, between showers of rain, and got lots of bags of the stuff. It's a lovely dark colour, not really recognisable as horse sh*t and full of lovely wriggly worms.
The weather is looking totally rubbish for the next few days though and there is stuff to be done in the house so progress in the garden is going to be slow, I reckon.0 -

I noticed that, I thanked both posts though as they were both equally useful posts.Loving all the gardening talk people, you haven't yet managed to inspire me :rotfl: Feel free to come and do mine

Which is £4 more than I managed, so well done. I am still waiting to be paid for March work - each month my customers are paying later and later. OK so they have their cashflow problems but HELLO, SO DO I!!!!!
Anyway, the good thing is that I have a lot of work to do in April so there should be a nice bit of cash coming in May.
And Jwil, you had that £600 to pay out this month so any overpayment is a fine achievement, :T0 -

I think a bit of 'accidental killing' is the way to go around hereDH won't want to sell things, I'm not fussed either, I just want it moved around.

Hope your customers pay out soon peaceandfreedom, it must be very frustrating waiting for them "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Another £3 paid today :T
My internet is not working again though "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Thanks guys
Nice to see you again Lam, hope the horse is better.
My internet connection is REALLY playing up tonight  I couldn't get on this morning, but at least this evening have managed to get on long enough to print postage for a couple of ebay items.
Majorly messed up the postage on one of my good sale items too  I didn't lose out, but I haven't now got as much for the item as I'd hoped. Oh well, not sure how I managed that one
If it's any consolation I've just done that. I could kick myself as the item was new and sold well below face value :mad:0 -

It's so frustrating isn't it - I undercharged by £12   I never expected it to go abroad."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

my internet is still being rubbish, so I'm going to have to bite the bullet and shout at them now. It's very annoying.
Hope everyone is well"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

That's quite a lot to undercharge. I only list in UK but are you not allowed to charge extra for overseas. I'd have thought there should be something that allows for different postal rates. I'd be  as well.
Hope you get your Internet sorted out, not much fun.
Have a good weekend.0
