Terrified to take a shower/bath in this cold weather, any workaround?

I've just had a water bill and I can confirm that it's not the water that costs. In the last 6 months I used rainwater to flush the loo and water the garden. I halved the amount of water that I used. My bill was reduced by £6. In terms of cash it really doesn't make that much difference.
If you are worried about the cost of heating the water and/or the room then that is a different matter.
I don't know waht you circumstances are, but does your local authority do a scheme whereby those on low incomes and/or benefits can use council facilitis such as gyms and swimming pools at reduced rates? If so they make a good place to take a long hot shower!
Do you have a reason for your GP to put you on the GP referal scheme for exercise. That would mean 12 weeks of free or minimal payment at a gym plus access to those all important showers!0
