Can anyone find where you "unsubscribe" online with creditexpert ? As i would like to cancel now , before i forget and end up being charged £49.99 ( which would be very Un-moneysaving like )
    thanks

As dumbledore55 says you can just email them to cancel. Just to let you know they will cancel your account immediately when you send the email. They won't just let it expire at the end of the 30days, at least this is what they did to me.

Just in the interests of science, I tried zopa and equifax, and got indentical scores.

My only question would be to "pinkfluffybabe".

It would be "With a score of 563, are you single!!!!?" Only joking........

do you think that information held by these and other credit agencies is used as a source of information for private investigators of debt collection companies to track down people who don't want to be found? (Not criminals, just people who have hoped to leave their past behind them.)
I recently heard about someone with a very sad background who, having spent years building a new life away from the negative associations of their past has recently been 'found' and the only trail they may have inadvertently left may have been through financial institutions.
    what do others think?

  • I agree. My ex has had debt collectors contacting them at their new business address. I was asked if I gave the debt collectors the address, when I said no,we both figured that was the only reasonable explanation.

Apparently when Zopa initially get your credit score this is NOT countered as a search against you for other lenders to see. However if you were to go ahead and take up their offer of a loan then a search would be recorded so other lenders could see you have applied for credit.
