Kia Sportage. You can get a 2WD petrol version for around £15,000 or diesel for about a £1000 more.0

Isn't the Juke based on the latest Micra platform though?
That GTR would appear to be Nissan making moves into WRC, just as the Germans did with the Mini Countryman.
Which they couldn't really have done with the Micra.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Not sure to be honest but if i remember correctly the GT-R does 0-60 in 3 seconds compared to 3.2 for the Skyline, (i could be wrong though)
I wouldn't touch a Juke but one of those does look a bit tasty0 -

Oh come on Strider!
You drive that 90's cutting edge of design, rep mobile Vectra don't you?
Hardly entitles you to slag off the aesthetics of the Juke.0 -

I drive a car which was a sensible purchase, lots of car for the money, big, comfortable, lots of space, lots of extra's, 30-38mpg and pretty good on the reliability stakes, all for half the price of a same year bog standard 1 litre city hatchback.
People who go out and buy brand new ugly cars, they need their heads examined!!!!“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Have to agree again! Look at the Prius, an absolute horror of a car but people buy it because it give 400 mpg while running on ear wax
Then there was the Multipla, designed by the drunk.
Cars these days don't seem to be built for looks, give me some 90's Jap styling anyway.0 -
Need a little more info from OP (budget?!) but from her post I guess she wants something that LOOKS like the RAV4 - she wants a 'soft roader'. That means no Octavia or Panda, and not necessarily actually 4 wheel drive.
The Kia above is good, but big. I'll throw in Daihatsu Terios (the new one looks like a baby Rav4 to me), and how about a Honda FRV. At your mileage, as long as it's not lots of short journeys, diesel is probably better. I wouldn't want to do 15k miles in a 4x4 on petrol...0 -
I bought a CRV (Honda) this year and I love it. It was my midlife crisis car (I dont fit in 2 seat sports cars), bought the top of the range (all the toys and some). Its definitely a soft roader, I have the diesel and get 35-45 mpg depending on how much is on motorway. So thats another one for the mix.Gas doc on the loose0
