Small list for me today as its a work day

Wow, you have been busy Pippi! You'll be finished pretty soon at this rate!
Been pretty busy lately, working, but also went to a couple of sewing machine workshops, paid for by work...that and a crochet workshop this morning, I've had a lovely creative week. Going to be manic this week as we are holding a three day exhibition at the shop, then I am in charge of the shop for three days afterwards, as my boss is leaving the afternoon of the last day, so I will be shattered after that!
Still, it keeps me busy!
Have a good week, can't believe it's August on Wednesday! Time really flies, DS2 is off to University in 7 weeks time :eek:
Take care, and remember to stop and breathe xxx

Hi pippi
sorry I haven't been around your diary. Glad to see you are well and had a good holiday.
wow about moving, is that because you don't need so much room as DS is off to uni? Or just a cheaper house?
Will you be taking the chickens with you?
I haven't had much to report. Just had a major winge fest on my diary, if you get a minute, to comment I would appreciate it.
Glad to see someone is making some forward progress.
Starnac, hope you mum is ok.
Kittikins sorry to hear you have been off with your partner, glad to hear it is on track now. Sometimes you just have to spell things out in words of one syllable to them.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Hi chev. Do you mean "the chat"? :rotfl: that turned out to be nothing in the end. Her car has been playing up a lot so shed decided to get a new one. She came down to offer me a lend of her car until I got my own (now I'm back at work we are struggling with only one car). She said she didn't want to give into me cos she didn't have any faith in it anymore as things kept going wrong but she was happy to lend it to me. I spoke to DH about it and he told my mum to see what they offered part x for it first. Anyway they offered her £1100 so she part x'd it instead. So she worried me for nothing
Thanks for asking x
Pippi you've packed loads. Well done. You'll be finished in no timeGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Morning all - dashing to work so can't really stay long!
Lovely to see you all.
I'm up to my ears in washing/bags/boxes I guess we'll get there - feels like we made a bit of progress at the weekend, Have to hand in notice on Wednesday - so hopefully if they decide to inspect quickly then we'll be ready (ish)
Chev sorry to hear you're not great - I'll try and pop over - moving - hmm internet here is 15kb/s so its difficult for OH to work, the house is 5 bed which is really too big especially with ds leaving in Sept and we've no tv, no transport (except one bus a day to the wrong town) and DD is really struggling with her 5th year about to start, work placements, etc and transport - so its for her too as well. Sadly for the short term, no chooks, I'm gutted but we need to make a few sacrifices. Its a cheaper rent too by £70 a month, 3 bed/2bathrooms and a large garage - so a bit smaller but not much - we gain a central heating system and a large woodburner.
Starnac all that worry for nothing!
Keiss lovely that you're busy and wow to it beign so soon for DS!
Well I'd better dash - have a great one - I'm working til 9pm tonight - so hope you all have a good one!Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

So what's happening to your polytunnel Pippi? You didn't get the cover up did you, so at least you'll be able to use that at a later date. Glad you're getting everything sorted so quickly.
Did a clothes shop in town today for DS2...I love sales!! Spent quite a bit, but got LOADS!! He hasn't had much new stuff for over a year, so as he'll be doing so much more sports work at Uni (he's studying sports strength an conditioning), we had to get more shorts/singlets/shirts and hoodies. Got two of each, for less than the cost of two full-price hoodies...result!!
This will mean he'll have enough clothes to last a few days before he needs to do some clothes washing. We got a few with Team GB logos, so he's a happy bunny. Even managed to get him a new (reduced) rucksack that'll hold his laptop and is big enough for big folders. I got some new trainers too, so a successful, if expensive day.
We still have to get books/folders/pens etc, as well as crockery/cutlery, but we have a good lot of that already: excess from home and unwanted bits from DS1....crikey, lots to do...and spend still, though I can see a few trips to charity shops for a lot of it.We need to get him a fridge (he's diabetic) as well, and have a couple in mind. There's a new shop in town where we can hopefully get a much cheaper one, going to investigate tomorrow.
Right, need to get tea on...running late today.
Have a great evening x
