How late can you counterclaim? I have a vexatious neighbour.
This is 4th claim against me. Others been thrown out - but pretty fed up with it , have to take time of work etc and what a waste of the courts't time in these hard up times, when the public sector needs to save money.
I made mistake of not counterclaiming , when papers arrived initially as did not realise that I could have. Case to be heard in county court can i counterclaim in front of judge there or do something before case is heard.
Be grateful for any advice.

just issue a new claim for all the costs of all cases.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

You can always ask the court for costs to be awarded to you. Your costs however are limited only to your travel costs it won't cover lost wages. You can initiate a new claim against them for the lost wages but you'd need to take another day off work it's not really worth it.
What are they claiming for? Why are they continuously wasting money on court fees for them all to be thrown out? Feel for you...I hate neighbours like that.:footie:Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I think you can actually apply to have somebody banned from making a claim in the county court where it is being used illegimately. I swear somebody provided a link to a list of people unable to use the system not too long ago...............
Despite the inconvenience it may cause (which you should claim or counterclaim for your time off work) you may take solice in the fact every time he issues a claim and it goes to court he will be loosing about £100.0 -

Gosh Huge thanks all of you. This is such a big problem with them.
I will look up links. He doesn't seem to care as he is working for someone else and I strongly suspect they are just a name for the buyer. It all looks like money laundering to me.Flying Donkeys- Do no harm to others and you will benefit in more ways than one.0 -

I guess they just have a vindicative nature. They have a pretty thuggish way of dealing with any issue. I will probably issue a claim as not sure of steps to take to get them listed as vexatious.Flying Donkeys- Do no harm to others and you will benefit in more ways than one.0 -

Thanks VAX 202. I will do this and perhaps put all the costs of all of them together. He is doing this to other people too, so perhaps its time someone got him to face up to the consequences of his diabolical behaviour.Flying Donkeys- Do no harm to others and you will benefit in more ways than one.0 -

You've made six posts in this thread and you still haven't told us what they were claiming for.
