Maybe it's all part of the scam.
Adding a reserve price may be an attempt to convince potential victims that the listings are for genuine items that he/she doesn't want to sell for too low a price.0 -
The old 'I never stated you were bidding on the actual item but just a photograph' thing is old hat now however as someone has bid then it is clear there are stupid people still around.
As long as people dont or cant read then guys like this will carry on.
He cant be blamed, eBay allow it and people are stupid enough to fall for it.0 -
That was scary I clicked on one of the completed listings & some of the live "fine art" pictures that came up were rather risque & not what I was expecting at all.0

Some nice false positives in his feedback as wellOne important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

Under which reporting procedure would attract Ebay to these type of auctions for quick action?0

Comparing the autograph on this item 170745837370 to others on the web isn't looking too hopeful for him either. It's close to some examples but miles off for others.
As for your question Freddysmith I would either go for listing policy breaches, and either 'compilation and info media' as you could argue that a photo of an item isn't selling the physical item or 'inappropriate seller terms' in that you're not buying the item you thought you were. Alternatively you could choose the 'Fraudulent Listings' Category and then 'You suspect the listing is fraudulent (you didn't bid)'.0 -
Have messaged seller and reported each item.
Best bit is he now has negative feedback.0 -
Whats going on with the 'false positives' I noticed he has a few. I left a negative recently (first one since I joined in 2006) and when I looked back ebay had changed it to a neutral.£100 - £10,0000
