    im sure this is all very amusing for you, but for me this is the difference between eating or not for the next two weeks. I came looking for help and advice, not 5th rate Ali G impressions.

    They will ask you when you last received money and what you spent it on, won't look good that you intentionally made yourself skint, but knowing a bit about crisis loan decision making you will likely get awarded something for food and elec if your on a pre pay meter and have run out...

    yeah, i am expecting to be awarded a lot less than Im going to ask for, but Im worried that I wont get anything at all. will let you know how i get on. thanks for the on topic replies

    Check to see if there are any foodbanks in your local area - they may be able to supply you with a few days staples.

    Not always, people get drunk and lose their purse/wallet, give money to children for birthday etc and phone up for a crisis loan, more often than not they get awarded something, it's easier for the agent on the phone to say yes as a negative reply has to be justified and explained.
