Ok, first of all, thanks to those who answered and helped before. Now, if you remember I had been misinformed by the DWP and didnt qualify for a CGC, budgeting loan or crisis loan for household goods because Im on contribution based ESA. having moved into an unfurnished flat, this had left me without a cooker etc for 3 weeks. so yesterday, I went out and bought a cooker, using the money from my ESA. Now Im broke.
will i be able to apply for a crisis loan for food and electricity in order to recover the cost of the cooker, as no other help was available to me? if not, what should I say when I call?

To be honest, you didn't need to buy a cooker; a table top mini hob (£9) and a slow cooker (£20) would have sufficed. If you are going to claim for a crisis loan I would suggest honesty.0
