I am also 43, one DD and OH, live in a rural area, work part-time. Have just under £20,000 of debt was £54,000 at LBM 6 years ago. Would love to lost 3 stone by xmas, have money for clothes - as all money goes on DD and OH. Will be trying to ebay & save money to at least pay off 2 CC by the end of the year £3,350. One of the original dribblersand made £3,000 that year that brought my car.
I can't go out in the snow as I only have one pair of shoes to my name  Goodness knows how I will get to work in the morning!
Good luck on the job hunt elly, well done Dilli and where has Skint gone?8 years of being on a DMP finished 3/3/140 -

oooh, great challenge elly! So I'm 30 this year, been with my wonderful OH for almost 10 years and we have an 11 year old boy affectionately known as the spud! We live in Hull where it's really not as bad as people make out, it's home and we're happy here! Am taking part in the challenge to pay off the last remaining bit of debt (£4,500 to go!) and with the rest I plan to take the family to lapland at xmas as spud will "be too old to believe" by next year he says! (he's also said that every year for the last 4 xmases!) and do some much needed decorating. I am now self-employed doing a bit of all sorts as the company I was working for went bust and there are not many jobs about anymore so I need to use the money wisely so we can live and get debt free at the same time.
It's going well so far and it's great to hear about everyone else, plesae let's not be so quiet this week, it makes me lose motivation and I need a kick up the butt with eBaying the stuff I can't sell on FB :S On the plus side, another cheque from zapper arrived, I sold our old projector and finally booked a prize win from last year, me and the OH are going to Miami for the weekend in April so that is something to really look forward to!
Here's to us all having a fab week and making loads of money, selling loads of old treaures and winning loads of prizes (if you're into comping!)
Much love x0 -
Hi all.
I am also from Hull. I am 61 years young and have been married to the same person for 42 years lol. My two sons are both grown up 39 & 38 this year.
I have 2 beautiful grandchildren aged nearly 3 and 8 months. I am doing the challenge to get a new bathroom this year (I have a burgundy suite from the 1980s) so desperately needs updating. I would love to take all the family on holiday in the next year or so.
My eldest son is getting married this year and I would like to give them a really nice wedding present also need a posh wedding outfit (just need to loose 2 stone).
Great challenge elly

PS HULL is an excellent place and the people are very friendly. I don't know why we get such bad press.Jan £10 a day £326.75/£3100
