Sorry can someone put me right.

Is the map update available FOC? Or only from Sony for money?

Does the new Firmware come with it? or is this a separate download? More money?

Does the new Firmware give full postcode search?

If it's a separate download does it work with the original map?

Can I get a map of France?

Sorry for so many questions.

Anyone know any answers?

Have bought the update, have an updated map, still out of date by approx 18 months or more from some of the local roads I have looked at. Lots of new build round here. But I now have full postcode search, that's worth the £42

I have read the posts with interest as I have also complained to Sony that after paying so much for my NV-U50 the map was way out of date as was the firmware revision. I did update but not to the 1.06 Ver not available at the time. I was very disappointed at there response (yes they did reply weeks later) as they expected me to pay a further £42 for a current map. I believe other manufacturers supply FOC. I will never buy another Sony product as this Sat Nav is not fir for use! The map is incorrect by years not months both locally (Bristol) and Scarborough where, after 3 filling station locations I actually found one that existed.
Anyway after the moan, can anyone supply a map update =, the 2007 release and possibly a firmware update to 1.06.

Does the 1.06 version give you full post code availabiltiy? If so I would also appreciate a copy of the 1.06 version and any updated map information available.
