The other file thereabouts (u50s_mu.exe) which I had high hopes for is for Spain

I assume you have installed the ActiveSynch software supplied on your CD.

Plug the Sony unit into your PC. You are going to use Activesync to copy the file across.

In Activesync, once connected, click "Explore".

Browse to Mounted Volume\Sony\Nav-U

Copy the Nav-U folder to your hard disk (except the GreatBritain map which is large).

Zip the Nav-U folder and 'please' send a copy to us (it should be less than 2mb).

If the files are too large, could you please send the Nav-u.exe file in the nav-U folder (this might be the only file we need).

I am still waiting for this but I have installed tomtom 6 on my NV-U50 and am beginning to like it better than the Navteq map.
Will forward it to you if I receive it.

Didnt have time to scroll through this thread. BUT

79.99 NOW at Carphone warehouse. there top 100 stores had 5 each delivered on saturday..... still quite a few knocking around as of this morning....

Hi all,

I have been watching this thread with much anticipation in the hope that 1.06 would appear. Undeterred by this not happening I still proceded to download the new map available on the sony nav-u site.

Much to my amazement, the new map requires a software update as it is apparently in some different file format. The new software installed is version 1.50.02 and comes with full seven digit post code searching!

I'm now a happy man again!
