update (ish). Thanks for all your offers i did pm someone and i will be phoning cab tommorow. But its just nice for me to get it off my chest. Brothers birthday today but because he works really late this week (they shut at 11pm) he wanted his present last night. So he got martins book ~ loved that he said he will read that (he has to go to monthly pay soon) so i said he can use it to help him budget etc. He got a handmade card (which he shook
he always does) and a voucher in the book for 4 hours driving lessons after my payday in jan for up to £80. He is planning to go with my instructor which will net me a free lesson :T and i know 4 hours cost £80 :rotfl:
Ummm my friend (the one i am supposed to be going away with in sept) dla hasnt been authorised so i hope (fingers crossed) ~ and i know this is bad to say ~ but i hope we dont go away now. Maybe we can just have a week doing stuff. As she pays debt off and dropping her hours again i work will only leave her £160 per month to live on  we shall see...
Sarah you will not get me anything! seriously i hate having presents on my birthday christmas is different because everyone gets them :rotfl:
Right i am into new year thinking... 2008 will be my savings year. Seriously once my argos card is payed and i have brought my camera i will be getting nothing except my magazine subscrition and my monthly scrap. I know i said this last year but last year was the worst year imo for my budgets/cash i messed up big time. When i pass my driving test i could be saving at least £300 per month so on that approxamation i am setting myself a goal to save £2500.00 in 2008.
This still allows my weekly spends and any other thing i want (thats not businness related) ie food/games/downloads/avon needs to be 'made' either through ebay/amazon/points/overtime. I know this will be a challenge but i want to get rid of a lot of my 'clutter' in my room and start being fruggle i mean how many dvds/soft toys/books does one person need? I want to get shot of some of my cross stitch stuff too. Also everyone is having handmade items for there birthdays/xmas i am fed up of buying things in a sale etc only for it to sit in my cupboard all year and gatther dust. I know its mse buying early but its getting on my nerves now :rotfl:
No vendor days will start again on the 3rd of jan and i am finding this week if i have no money in my purse i cant spend :T i have been very stupid these last two months. I have been paying my mother and buying food at workthis has to stop.
So thats my goals for this year. There isnt anything more i want really. I am tempted to try to get cook in work as its more money and i just want to prove people wrong. Other than that in 2009 i want a new job and i want my business to grow in 2008 to me making at least £30 per month. I am having a break from making cards etc but full steam ahead from the 31st. i have also decided to add gift boxes/bags and tags from my makes but obviously these all need making.
Regarding my mind and my 'depression' yes i am fingding it more harder to manage and i do find i get very low quickly but i guess its one of those things. I shall restart my tabs (i need to take them for 6 months) then once i finish those i can go back to the doctor and sort out my hair and my confidence. Oh and i am still shifting those pounds. Slower now as i am doing this alone but they are coming off and i am really proud of myself.
Right i will stop typing as this small update has turned into an essay  if you are still with me well done :rotfl:
Finally to all of those who regually post here and encourage me ~ thanks. I would have never made it through this year if it wasnt for all of you (and thats the truth) You prob dont realise but your help is like the parents i never had/have and just to come on here and get virtual hugs is great. You are all great and i just wish i could repay you much more than this. Take care each and every one of you and look after your loved ones/kidlets too.
Merry xmasand a happy new year to each of you

Aww PAP *hugs* I'm in for a savings challenge in 2008, we can spur each other on if we are tempted to overspend. I think we have similar habits, save for ages and then just blow it allNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130

Awww Pap, that was a lovely post. You deserve to feel positive and upbeat, because that's how you make others feel too.
Can I make a suggestion, along those lines? (and feel free to ignore it if you don't like it)
In your sig, you have: Superpap's 2008 savings ~ target £2,500 ~ so far £110 :wall:
The 'banging head against a wall' looks as though you are berating yourself for your lack of progress, whereas I think you should have this ----> :j to celebrate what you HAVE accomplished. I just think seeing the positives would help you to hang on to those happy feelings when things get difficult.
Hope you don't mind me saying it, and I wont be offended if you prefer it how it is!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

Very well said, Snag. :T :T
Mind you, it is very easy to become disheartened when things don't go well. I'm a bit low myself, at the moment, and can sympathise with the way PaP feels.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.
