I used to but then I thought, how many hours am I actually wasting over a year by working for free. It's costing me to stay in man hours.
Love free lifts :) I can't drive my car at the moment (loooooooong story) and getting chauffeured everywhere is so much easier on the wallet!

Shame about your college, I know it was something you really wanted, but you have to do whats best for yourself and your health. Spreading yourself too thin is bad for you! Take care of yourself :D

now am i seriously the only one in my family that is relitively good with money? My sister picked me up tonight because she wanted to use my internet (hers have been cut off because of a bill) she doesnt speak to me otherwise unless she wants something but i agreed . On the drive home she said she was going bankrupt  (she is 2 years older than me) how shocked was i. I know she was in difficultys because her oh was an illegal. He was deported and while they tried to get him back she had to work in thier family busniess over here. Only she wasnt payed well so she was stuggling, but she didnt bother to get a side job.

why do i feel like the black sheep in the family?

Sorry to hear about ur sister PaP... Do u think she will learn from her bankruptcy?
Don't worry about feeling like the black sheep with reagrds to money, u have lots of a good advice to give, and if ur family would listen to it, u'd be abe to help them! Ur Mum seems to be doing better at money with ur help, do u think maybe ur sister would listen too?

Hope ur not overstretching urself at work... We're absolutely slammed every day this week, so I imagine it must be thesame for u!?! Don't forget to rest up!

    Speak soon

PS - I had to send my Thank You card today :( I didn't wanna let it go

  • well this is the ironic thing ~ in her xmas hamper (already made) is martins book. Will she learn ~ no! i cant see it. She is now driving an uninsured car too  She wants to use the internet (to spend on catalougue sites that she wont end up paying) and she is wondering why i wont let her  To be honest she has made her bed she can ly in it, she sponges off me (well used to) and she uses me she knows nothing of my life to the point she has brought me a handbag for my birthday! says it all eh. Anyways i am not even attempting to give her advice she will need to deal with it. Sorry if that sounds selfish but i have had enough. She chosse her foreign oh over her family and it snowballed from then... sad i kow but these are my feeling.

I am also terribly worried because she told me something very serious that she is doing and i dont know what to do. I have evidence too and i am scared now as they can track it back to my ip address. But hey i shall cross that bridge when i come to it

I am just glad i found this site before it was too late for me too...

As for work yes its made totally and utterly not to mention throwing in staff meals/buffets/breakfasts  although i have been given so many chocs and a £5 voucher for instore so thats not too bad :) i just want xmas over :o

:rotfl: about your card. i have so many to send its unreal
  • Mmmmmm.... best I sell that handbag I bought u for ur birthday then!?! :rotfl:

Can't wait for Christmas to be over either, it always bloody starts in Sept, and by the time it comes round, I've had enough! Oh and we'll get our first delivery of Mini egg/Creme eggs on Xmas Eve agian no doubt!

Don't worry about ur sister, u didn't sound selfish at all..... after all the 'giving' u've done for your family, its time they stood on their own feet, and if that means learning a lesson or two the hard way, then so be it!

ohhh glad you approve i am just sick of helping them... my mum has learnt. She has been saving her morrisons miles vouchers (well giving them, to me) yesterday i gave her them back £25 and she brough all her xmas food except fresh and the turkey and i was well impressed :D she even said to me she was going to buy me a gift in asda but she knew in morrisons even without her discount it was cheaper. I think its working. Not to mentrion here nicking one of my piggy banks for her change :rotfl: I cant belive my family are changing slowly :D Its my brothers birthday tommorow and i am giving him a voucher for 2 driving lessons (4 hours) that i will pay for in the new year. Its £80 i know its a lot but he has changed so much and he is even talking of paying off his overdraft i know he has a credit card and an argos card to pay so hopefully i will get him to pay those off soon... thinking of buying him martins book the weekend for xmas or even to go with his prezzie tommorow?

btw you have a pm, my last was 8.15pm because we crossed pms hehe

edit actually i may just take it out of my sisters present and add a random book :)
  • Sorry, went away for a mo... trying to get my tree up at the same time!

If u don't think she'd read the book, don't 'waste' it on her, and give it someone who will find it useful.... U have given me an idea tho, I think I will wrap up my Martin books for Dan for Xmas :D

Yes I was joking about the handbag.... I'll just have to think of something else now!

I work for Sainsburys, in store, on the tills, but I used to be the Warehouse Manager in another store before that, and got very sick of the sight of crackers/chocs/decs etc..... Even now on the tills we are over-run with wrapping paper and crackers!
