thats bad about your instructor - i would ring a few others and explain and see if they would be willing to take you on. its money in their pockets so i wouldn't imagine they would flatly refuse.

    Hi PAP,

Not very professional of your driving instructor ehh

I was on my third instructor by the time I took my test. The first one I didnt like. The second one I absolutely adored, but got a phone call one night to say he had sadly collapsed and died.

At this point, I did give up for a bit, but had to carry on eventually.

As the others have said, ring round others. I'm sure you'll find 'the one'

You can do your test straight away with a new instructor, I did. Just try and find one who has the same model car.

    Hope you find someone PAP

  • well no news yet... cant really do anything till tuesday but i am tempted to phone teh school this man came from, ie the school i am learning with now. I never had a letter from them when he wasnt staying with the school but i think they have to at least find me another instructor  dont they, its complicated and hard to explain

basically i started with safeway and they gave me this instructor... and by coisidence it was the same man that put a poster in our canteen. All was fine untill they were putting his franchise up  and he wasnt getting enough pupils  so he decided to quit from them and start his own company, he explained he would get me through my first test as 'see how we go' once i failed he said he would carry on teaching the pupils from bristol (he wants to solely teach in wales now) untill each of them passed but only on a sunday... In this time he took a full time job as a postman for a month in wales so he could distribute his flyers...

anyway i think most of the bristol ones have now passed leaving me on my own. I have explained i will pay the toll for the bridge (taking 1hours lesson to £27) but to be honest i think he just wants shot of me ~ fair enough but just have the decency to tell me :rotfl:

    what a ********!

I would phone a few schools like others have said, explain the situation, tell them roughly how many hours you've had, and they'll probs look for the best instructor to suit what you need, which isnt skills, its confidence.

Like has been said before, theyd rather have your money then let someone else have it!
