Should I ask to go into hospital? I feel like I'm in crisis with mental health

Things have been very difficult and as I say I don't think I have the energy to get to hospital as I'd probably have to wait hours. I might try Samaritans again. John.
It doesn't sound silly at all - Yes phone Samaritans and speak to someone
If you need to you could call an ambulance to take you to A&E John, there will be nurses and doctors there to help you if you need them
Don't ever think you will be wasting their time
Everything seems worse at night.. don't hurt yourself, get through the night and re-evaluate in the morning£608.98

I am assuming that the social work ooh team provide mental health crisis support, assessment and information if your CPN has given you that number for times of crisis. I would contact them and just tell them what is going on. They are most likely to ask you relevant questions if you are struggling with how to tell them what you are experiencing. If not, then I would take yourself to hospital for an assessment, rather than suffering as you are.
Is there anyone that can help you or take you to hospital?0 -
Thanks everyone, going to call Samaritans again but if I feel worse through the night then I'll definitely call Social Services. My wife has been texting me saying awful things and I think it's probably a good idea I keep these texts to show them how it affects my mental health. I don't have words to tell you how much your help means to me, John.0

hun - go to A&E. you are obviously in an extreme state and at the very least they should admit you for observation.
tell them what you have told us.
dont stay on here - GO! we cannot help you - you need specialists and they are NOT on here!0 -

Turn your phone off
Your wife is the one with the real problem here
Try not to let her make you feel like this - I can only say again please don't think you will be wasting time at the A&E - If you are having an emergency that is what they are there for and they wll be glad to help you£608.98

Big hugs John.... Please switch your phone off, you don't need her crap. Tell your friend what is going on, tell him you need help.
Thinking of you, big hugs xxxxx0 -
John - do you have a landline? If so then switch the mobile off!
If not then set it to silent, but don't turn it off - a phone is a wonderful lifeline to help when you have problems IMHO.
Have you tried samaritans again yet?
Thinking of you John xI don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.

If your CPN said in the past to go to A&E then that is what you need to do. Please do it now. Either on your own or call an ambulance. DO IT0

You say you are staying with a mate and his girlfriend. Are they around? Would they be able to phone someone from the Crisis team for you?0
