Should I ask to go into hospital? I feel like I'm in crisis with mental health

John, please go to A&E or phone the emergency number for the Social Work Department, they'll know what advice to give to you.
Please stay strong, i know you feel that you are lacking the energy to go through this just now but just think, it might take a couple of hours at A&E but in a couple of hours you might be getting the support that you need. Please don't listen to what your wife has been saying, you know that this will bring you do more. Do anything to take your mind off of things, reorganise your tins of food if need be.
Hope all goes well for you x0 -
Happysaver is offline - hopefully he has gone to A&E! I am so worried about him!0

Another one here sending John big cyber hugs and hoping he has gone to get help.
John, let us know how you are, please?0 -
Hi John. I replied to a thread you started the other day, hoping you'd refer yourself inpatient. I feel very worried for you. As I said in my last post - I have also suffered from severe depression. The fact that you have attempted to over dose in the past, is huge warning sign. The fact that you have to give others knives and harmful tools to stop you from hurting yourself is a big warning sign! Please, go to A&E and refer yourself.
You have to take this step. You are no longer capable of looking after yourself and keeping yourself safe. You must rely on medical attention. The doctors are there to help, it's their job. You're not alone in this. Stay strong. I hope you're at the hospital right now. Do the right thing.Toto, I
Don't think we're in

Hi fellow Moneysavers, I just wanted to let you know that everything's OK now. I spoke with Samaritans and then must have fallen asleep because I was so tired as I didn't wake up until after 10! I feel not bad today and have just ignored my wifes texts and calls as it is stress I don't need right now. Thanks again, have a good Christmas everybody. John.0

Hi John
Glad you feel a bit better today
Carry on ignoring any nasty texts and remember that its them with major problems, not you
Remember that you're not alone.. sometimes its hard to ask for help but thats what you must do, you deserve it

John, please don't say Happy Christmas! It's two weeks away yet and I should hope you'll be posting before then.
There will be posters such as myself who will be spending Christmas alone and will look forward to some virtual company, so please keep posting.
Try for a goal of one post per day minimum, across the forum, you will get through this.0 -
Hi John, glad to hear you got a good night's sleep and you're feeling a bit better today. Keep posting and let us know how you're doing - people do care!0

i am posting a quick reply so havent read anyone elses responses, i work as a secretary for an adult mental health team.
if you cant get an emergency appointment with your GP, go to A & E or your local walk in centre - they all have ways of contacting the correct people if an inpatient admission is needed
i am sure you will get the help you need,
