Some of the things people mention are the prices on the SEL at my store so don't really seem a bargain to me, anyone else think the same ?

    Demister pads 25p
Andrex ( small handy rolls) 50p

Off for a quick look around before I go out on the works p*ss up

Totally agree. I bought one demister pad and ain't even opened it yet and a couple of the loo rolls to throw in the glovebox of the car for emergencies but thats about it. The loo rolls shold be 25p BTW.

Now there's a thing, so many posts relating to drinking /the late night pub on this thread...... not all of us particularly enjoy wading through pages of those posts!!

If you only want the deals that you've missed you can ususally ask before you pop out and someone will post a quick summary :o
I've had it done for me :j
  • Quick question......if you got to SS with an item you thought would be a glitch and it scans normal price, would you cancel it before paying, pay for it and return it, and for either of these what would you say?

It wad only on 9th December that nikkilala set up this thread and imaginatively called it Xmas and new year edition. Unfortunately I doubt we will make it to Xmas eve before a new thread is needed. Anyone wanting to set up the new one when due?

    BTW, happy Christmas everyone.

I thought it was agreed that I was setting up the new thread?

I have done this a few times. Either scan the items you are unsure of first then get them to cancel them before you scan the cheap stuff or I have scanned everything then asked them to take off what I don't want before I paid. I just tell them it had no price and i didn't realise it was that expensive, or brought one the other day and it was cheaper.
    hth :)

Almost all 1p items get the recalled message in redditch too and have done for a long time.
