good evening elite!
apologies I didn't post last night but real life got in the way
went to 4 Ts yesterday, done some of my shopping, got trouted with 1p splenda and then they refused dtd on lamb because it wasn't advertised on the sel only in the mags displayed instore and I even called HO who were absolutely unhelpful and admitted they don't have a current copy of the mag!!! Oh well, email to uncle Phil is on the way...
And today we had a great day. We decided yesterday that we won't risk bf loosing his job so sadly we're staying here for xmasSo today I took bf to Mercedes-Benz World as he's Mercedes-Benz mad and he loved it!
I loved the next door Tesco
got some more splenda but we didn't really look around as we were in a hurry to pick up our new TV
we decided we're going to buy one for our xmas pressie! :j we love it! it's LG 47'' LED full HD and I reserved it via quidco as they were offering 10% cashback too so we'll see if I get it... We watched a movie already and it's great!
hope everyone is ok and had a nice weekend! :A0 -
Little Mix to win although Marcus seems a really nice guy but it would be good to see a group win for a change.0

Had a remarkably fruitful day at T's today.
Got Jumbo Cashews (42p) and Pistachios (39p), more Clipper tea bags (1p), 3 more Lucozade Shots (1p), 2 more Beef Jerky Nuggets for my friend's dog (1p), another Yoyo (20p), 1 Butterfly air freshener (25p), 2 Neutradol air fresheners (50p), 3 Halloween Illoom Balloons (88p), Duracell AAA Powerpix Batteries (50p), 4 Melita Perfect Clean thingies (1p) - no idea why as I don't even have an Espresso Machine...:rotfl:, and the last pack of Cadbury's Vampire Mallows (1p)
But the BIGGIE was a huuuuge leg of BRITISH Lamb. There was just one solitary British Leg of Lamb in the fridge alongside all of the NZ ones. Almost chickened out - but I went for it. To their credit the CS staff were really polite. (This wasn't the branch of T's where I do my main shopping -I'd have been severely trouted there).
The CS assistant asked to see the leaflet where I'd seen the half price lamb advertised. Luckily I 'just happened' to have picked one up on entering the store and had it in my carrier bag.
The assistant spoke with the duty manager and initially they were going to just refund the difference. They had even gone to the fridge and got a NZ leg of lamb out which showed the correct price, and were going to scan that but let me keep the bigger one. Eeek!
I gulped nervously and then mentioned DTD. They couldn't have been nicer, and the assistant said that she would just have to get the duty manager to approve it. The DM was absolutely fine about it, so I got a DTD refund of ........£22.69!:j
The leg of lamb is huge - says it feeds 10-11 people. There's only me and my 2 children in the house! Guess who will be providing the meat for our traditional New Year's Day dinner at my mum's house?
Thank you sooo much to all the OPs who find these bargains. They make my life so much easier and enable me and my children to have things I wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. :A
:smileyheaI blinkin' love you lot.:smileyhea
Lucky you...I got severely trouted with mine!!
I bought one solitary NZ leg unstickered, but in with all the others with the red half price labels. It was exactly the same labelling apart from the price.
Bought it then took it to the CS desk. I was told that not all legs of lamb were half price and I had picked up the wrong one.
I was told I could only swap it for another and have a refund for the difference. The leg she brought over to exchange it with was almost orange in colour!...so I had a full refund and left them both.
How can they say it's only the ones with the stickers on if they are all in the same display marked half price!
If I hadn't already complained to Tesco.com last week about my Direct order not being there after I'd been texted to say it was, and their refusal to accept their own min spend coupons with manufacturers ones, I'd be inclined to complain about this, but as I'm yet to receive a reply to last weeks complaint I don't know if that's pushing it.My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
