Here's what I got this morning,
2 packs of cupcakes £1 each
    1 pack of koko's £2
    Demister 25p

Got home and was about to bake my Christmas cake when I saw the deal for the £2 box of Thorntons, so off I go to the Extra store. Scanned them and came up at £5 :( had a look back on the hukd site and realised I'd scanned the wrong ones :embarasse Had a look around and found the right ones, found some koko's too so got a box of them. Went to the till and asked the SA for the prices, Thorntons came up at £8 :( Koko's came up at £1.01 , so went back and got another 4 boxes :T

No 1 p items in either store.

Off now to bake the cake
    :(

Blimey - it took me 3 hours to catch up from yesterday morning!!

Thank you to those who gave thoughts and kind words yesterday. Mother-in-law has 'very severe liver failure' and 'quite severe kidney failure' . Her kidneys look good so if they can get them working again they should recover. Her liver however has had it. She has cirrhosis of the liver, caused in part due to her diabetes but I think mainly to her diet - she didnt realise you could damage your liver as badly eating fatty foods as you could by drinking too much alcohol! She has been obese for years. She is only 61 bless her but they said she wont be a candidate for a transplant so we just have to hope they can get a small part of her liver working and try and maintain (or in the Dr's word 'manage) it.

Anyway enough of the dampner stuff! I hope you are all doing well! Any chance of some of you posting piccys of Christmas trees or decs etc? Im having trouble finding my Christmas spirit lol!!

Hope you have a great day! xx

Good news on the kidneys but not good on the liver, but hope they can sort something out for her - (((hugs))) petal

No you didnt offend anyone:p just hate the thought that anyone should feel ignored on here ;);)Sometimes it's hard to explain what you mean when in a post:)

I know, sorry! Re personality changes, I love that HE told YOU you weren't having any more kids, as if a personality change is somehow worse than pregnancy and labour lol!
Blimey I disappear for an hour and miss Happy chappy coming out the closet!!! PMSL

Perhaps a name change to gaychappy is in order here? ;)

I mis-read that as "Miss Happy Chappy" and thought, "eh, isn't happy chappy a chap?!" :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    the 3 for £20 offer, was 4 for 25£ sel expired 18/12/11

    charged 8 x 8 £64 should have been £50 = £28 DTD

the current 3 for £20 takes off £8 after the 1st 3 boxes of Stella go through

    stella is 12 bottles 284ml

    crabbies is 6 x 500 ml

    £28 dtd + 8 £ off = £36,

    £4 more than I paid :D
