Big, big good afternoon to everyone. Hardly had a chance to get on lately with work, study etc. Also didn't help that my clumsy son tripped over laptop charger wire and broke it! Anyway hope everyone is well and getting lots of bargains. Got four days off now so may get chance to bob in and out. Night shifts all Christmas so a bit gutted :( Hoping to go to T's tonight so just wondered if anyone can point me in the direction of any good glitches/deals. Food items would be brill. Ta very muchly.

is this MoneySavingExpert or the FAQ section for ISAs? it's difficult enough having to trawl through all the silly conversations you're having.

no one can post a comment along these lines now.

    :rotfl:

Talking about ISAs got people to go out and look for info on them...maybe if we argue about 1p items people will do the same? :D

Has anyone tried the J2O glitch/misprice? I know my brother drinks it but not sure I want to lose £5 trying as that's an expensive glitch test. £1.20 on OEP to check was ok but not £5!

Got more stuff down for DS1 and found DS2s Xmas stuff. Got the goody bags done for the neighbours kids (must take a pic) so just to feed DS2 then I can head out.

    140 miles each way :(

But think how many T's en route....

I'm actually a part time Registrar, Happy, so I could do your ceremony!!!
    Hope is not a strategy.

I can't remember how it works but I'm pretty sure you're only allowed one ISA. Anyone more clued up on this?

You don't need to open multiple ISA's anyway. I can't remember what the limit is per year these days but lets say it's 3K...

You open an ISA with XYZ bank in 2009 and put the full 3K in to it. After a year you can then top it up with a further 3K. After another year you can then top it up again with a further 3K.

1 ISA = 9K after 3 years. Or have I got it wrong? It's too early in the day for my brain to be working.:rotfl:

If you are allowed multiple ISA's then I guess they come in handy if the limit per year is 3K and you 6K/9K to invest per year. But what student has £300 let alone 3K? it's all spent on wild nights out and pizza.;);) :rotfl:

You can open as many ISAs in a year as you want but you are only allowed to put new money into one. The problem with putting money into the same ISA each year is that most instant access ISAs have bonus rates that only last for 12 months. It is always best in the current climate to open a new cash isa each year with the provider offering the best rate. If it doesn't allow transfers in of previos years money then another new ISA can be opened to take this transfer
