Kiddy guy, we will never agree on this. You have raised a topic which you cannot deny will give a small minority ideas of how to obtain goods by deception.

I have notified the board guide to remove all posts on this subject as it will reflect on the forum.

If goods are left in the porch etc without a signature then complain by all means guys. Do not consider pretending it didn't arrive. You will actually be doing the driver a favour. It will make him think twice about doing so again and hopefully prevent the scenario of him losing his job due to unscrupulous recipients.

We never know what circumstances folk are going through. Christmas and the period after it have the highest suicide figures of the year.

Don't let the temptation of a small gain put someone through the misery of lifelong unemployment.

i would never report things as not delivered when they were.
    1. it saves a lot of time not having to rearrange delivery and be in for it.
    2. your delivery driver will know that he delivered ok even though he may not be able to prove it.
    3. ive been told by someone in the trade that certain houses get black listed when items keep going missing.
    4. they are only trying to do their job the best they can.

nikki sorry your son seen the books but he could also have answered the door to the delivery as well. although it wasnt a clever place to leave them

This was the thing that peed me off even more, I was in, I work from home!!The chances of my DS answering the door are pretty remote:rotfl:He's a typical teenager who ignores the doorbell;)

im JEALOUSE of nikki doing her ironing. she is getting the nice warmth from it and ive now got to go out in the freezing cold and take the dogs out for a walk.;)
Just sent OH out with the dog;)
Amazon did this to me last week too left the box in full view in front of my door, best thing was i was in all day but they never even knocked and son almost tripped over the box when we were going out. luckily for me DS is only 5 so did not realise what could be in the box.

Exactly what happened, but what I don't get is it must have took longer to write the card than ring my doorbell, just hunting for the card but can't find it, It actually says "Left in front of car":eek::eek:

Best one I had though was a few weeks back, DS ordered a glass tankard, card in the post box saying "Over back gate" My back gate is about 8ft high as it has a wall above it, Guess what state the tankard was in!!!!!
    Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:
  • All this talk about deliveries thought I'd share, last year had an email to say i'd won a laptop, a couple of weeks later had another to say it had been delivered but it hadn't. contacted the company who then contacted the courier who said we were out so it had been left in my shed as it was a "secure place" and signed for by the courier.
Now I don't have a shed, after checking the back garden found it was left in my little girls wendy house and she'd been using it as a table without telling me there was a parcel (she is only 4).

To be fair that delivery guy has just invited the OP to tell the retailer he never received the items. The reason that companies pay carrier to deliver is so that they deliver it. You wouldn't expect Tesco store delivery drivers to drop 24 pallets in the car park and hope they didn't get nicked would you?:j
Shame on you for even suggesting this!!

What is this 'snow' everyone keeps going on about? I saw it briefly on high ground 2 weeks ago after taking the kids to see Santa but it's been positively balmy over here. Sun is splitting the trees this morning and all is well.

I think it may have been mentioned but I got some plant food off a clip-strip for 1p yesterday. If anyone needs a pic I'll oblige but it's 24hr slow release and the pellets are little balls stuck together in a blob just bigger than an acorn. Got more descaler stuff, more bog roll to keep in various places for emergencies (car, handbag, DSs changing bag) but no glitching OEP :(

Can't believe it's 7 days until Xmas. Where did this year go?

Oh, is that the one someone PM'd me the details about?
