Just a thought on these clipstrips in the true moneysaving sense. After removing the items can you use the clipstrips to hang your Christmas Cards?:rotfl:

  • I don't really understand the woopsies everyone talks about? How do you get them, anytime im in I see reduced prices but its not even near 50% off never mind pence. IF it was chicken breasts that are outta date today, they'll be £2.85 instead of £3.50 - which i don;t think is worth it? Where am I going wrong?
I'd love to stock up on fresh strawberries and rasberries but I always pay £4 for two packs?

Trying to figure out the Xmas presents whilst i can't get out, so we have a plan of action when I can. Can anyone suggest where to buy Mens slipper socks, £7 a pair at Debenhams & even EBay is expensive?

Poundland have some nice ones with Tyre tread or football antislip shapes on the bottom

What time of day are you going in? They only fall to rock bottom prices near the end of the day. This depends on the store, but usually varies between about 7.30 and 9.30. Some of the reductions can be quite dramatic.

    Good luck to those expecting.

I was induced about 2 weeks early with my girl. Came as a bit of a shock as I only went in for a pre-birth check up. Was told I would have the baby today and that it would be a c-section. EEEEEEKKKKKKK!!!!! Midwives managed to calm me down after the scan (I had undiagnosed pre-ecampsia and bubs was dinky). By the end of the day my daughter was born......in the normal way with no c-section required.

She was only 4lbs 13 (smaller than they were expecting with wrinkles on her wrinkles)....but other than a minor issue in holding her temperature she was fine. We would have left the hospital earlier if it wasn't for her temperature and my blood pressure. If one of us was ok the other one went squiffy. Took full advantage of the nurses whilst I was there though....I think they really got sick of me.

Looking back I am glad it happened the way it did because I wasn't sitting there for weeks worrying about labour.

If things were really an 'emergency' you would not have to wait for 2 days for a scan. I was dashed off a few mins after the consultant / doctor bloke saw me. And even when you are dashed off......chances are everything will work out perfectly fine as it was for me. I went in at about 11am and by 10pm that night I had a perfect little girl in my arms. She is now 5 years old and a major pain in the bum.

Don't worry. Just look forward to having your baby in your arms for xmas. Is a very special time and I'm so excited for you.

Thanks Nikki and fudge_cake. It's really weird as I should be making the most of getting a few things done at home but I'm so worried I'm going to miss them I keep find myself looking out the window every 2 minutes. Haven't even had a shower just in case.

Going to give them another ring and will email if don't get some sort of answer.

Was hoping to go early to Ts today as my store had SEL for Kokos last night and I never did get any when they were 1p, they will all be gone by the time I get there and don't need anymore whoopsies as had a good time last night and fridge full. Just the regulars who share. How sad is that...but lately there have been a few shelf clearers not sure what they do with it all when they are there at least couple times a week.

Fridge full of rasperries and strawberries I could have eaten for less than the price of a CDM too. :o

I even managed to get some whoopsied white roses for my mum, going to take them later and picked up a colourful bunch for home both about 30/40p. :)

Heard a rumble but it's just the bus again! Not yours Happychappy;) Thought it might have been delivery van. :(

Had trouble doing the order but I know it accepted it. Just had a look on Argos website it needs an order number to track, can't find an e-mail with order number :( or remember which credit card I used either

Ahhhh - thats it then, im usually in before 12noon, I thought that if they wanted us to make use of them b4 they go outta date? But then thats why they are so reduced ! I get it ! So then do you just put them un the freezer rather than use them up? Thanks FK

Mine are the same if I went now...like 10 or 20% off I'd rather pay the extra few pence and get them fresh BUT if go around 9pm they reduce the meat by 90%, pack of chicken breasts or salmon for 80p etc HTH!:D
