I signed up to my contract with Orange through Carphone Warehouse in one of their branches on 1st October 2011.
I've noticed that many articles are saying that it will only affect those who signed up before October 2011.
I have had the text to say mine will increase but could this have been sent to me by mistake???0 -
I got a text from Orange today at 4.30pm
"Hi from orange. We recently contacted you about a price increase on your plan. This was an error and the price of your plan will not change in February. We're sorry for any confusion!"
When i got the text I thought, Right..... a mistake.... hmmmmmm
A couple of people have said this... I've not had one yet, although they have reduced my bill after I moaned to OCS, but I could've done this anyway as I'm into month 13 of my 24 month contract...£2012 in 2012 - 0/20120 -
With news of the upcoming price hikes, how will this affect T-Mobile customers?0
-
I find it highly amusing that for weeks now people have moaned and moaned about orange using "small print" in their contracts to screw customers over and then the same people are going through every line of their "small print" in exactly the same way to try and get out of a £1 price increase!
Hypocrisy much??
All of you should have taken as much care and attention on reading your contracts in the first place when you took it out.
Hopefully now some more of you will...but then again maybe not.0 -
Hi Folks,
I feel it would be well worth signing this petition -

Stop mobile phone companies making changes to plan rates
Responsible department: Department for Culture, Media and Sport
If a customer wishes to make changes to their contract, in most cases, they will have to pay a large sum to do so. However, Orange have announced to their customers (via text message) that they are raising their plan prices by 4.34% in January 2012. The petitioners wish to end this as when entering into a written contract, the details should remain the same for the duration of the contract. It is unfair that the mobile phone companies are allowed to change the details of a contract without consulting the customer who is tied into the contract, yet if a customer wishes to change the details, it will involve paying a sum of money, or will simply be denied.0 -
