  • What coupons are you referring to? Been in Oz for 3 months so I'm a bit out of touch! I'm also a trifle poor as a result so every bit helps.

I entered a competition on their website ages ago.
I received a letter saying sorry you didn't win, please accept this £5 voucher with our compliments.
    :)

money off coupons from magazines, papers etc will usually be accepted in Tesco and Asda even if you havn't bought the product, as long as they stock it,
some online sites are now offering printable vouchers and mostly these are acccepted too, see here for some more

  • Tesco tonight would only accept one coupon for something I hadn't bought.

Just proves it's the luck of the draw, which check out operator you get and what mood they're in.

served by a lovely man tonight in the same Tesco, accepted all my vouchers, whether I'd bought the item or not.  Kept apologising for the delay, whilst he keyed them all in.......and calling me madam, which made me feel about 100!

I'll be on the lookout for him next week  ;D

IT most certainly does although I agree the younguns are usually better (one exception).

    PS,

    Tesco Upton Park (East London)
    Good:
Branded Original Vouchers, no problem but only 1 per manufacturer eg. Mon-Fri 20px5 off Daily Star newspaper coupons = any one day eg. Mon only so only 20p
    Bad:
Small store so always checks with supervisor first who says yes!

Tesco Extra Beckton and Tesco Barking
    Good & Bad
Pot luck, "depending on check out operator you get and what mood they're in."
But usually all or nothing so, take the lot or none (Originals and no duplicates)

    Tesco Liverpool Street
No problems to date! (Originals and no duplicates)

I wonder if this will help everyone?
  • Recently I have been lucky in tesco. My was £ 10.87 got it down to £3.17 with combination of all types of vouchers. Today I popped into use up some vouchers that were getting near the end of date, I paid 8p for nearly £8 worth of shopping!!!!

Top tip i reckon is to go with a friendly cashier and look confident, say hello and be nice to them too!

I dont' think this will keep happening though, i just got lucky.
